Finally made 25 and took my first steps into the Abyss. Their was a huge battle going on between the 2 occupied keeps on my server, and while their were plenty of targets to go for, I sadly, being a glad could not get in range without getting my ass handed to me. In smaller scale battles I do completely fine, I have no problem running into a group of of enemies provided i have a healer watching my back, but running into a zerg is obviously suicide. I spent most of the time during the battles standing behind the casters while they fought ranged back and forth. Despite all the action going on, I was pretty useless. So what can I do as a gladiator to get a little more into the action during large scale fights? I have considered buying a bow, but even with that I can't imagine i'll be getting any kills, if anything i'll just scare a player out of range. It would be neat I think if Glad's/Temp's could somehow defend allies behind them, kind of like tanks did in WAR. These battles I was in were mainly in flight between two islands, so it may have been part of the problem that most of the enemies were casting at range in flight. Maybe melee characters find it easier to fight on the ground? Anyways this was just my first expirence there, i'll be sure to check it out a little more. Even though I was mainly standing by abyss pvp feels pretty exciting. |

This is usually the problem of mass PVP, the melee becomes nearly useless and it's just a nukefest (in many games with mass PVP, I found this to be true, I really couldn't tell you with Aion, I haven't even seen the Abyss). |

Templar get that death grip move thing that has a 25 m range... gladiators not so much.
This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed. |

Yeah, I did notice Templars we're a little more productive than I was with Inescapable Judgment, most melee's swarmed on whatever they could yank out of the sky. Maybe I should of rolled a Templar instead ;_; |
