Hello, just wondering if you get any in-game bonus from buy Fallen Earth from Steam? I know you get an ATV if you buy directly from the Dev's and a Horse if you buy from Direct2Drive. Anything similar from Steam? I heard there was a Steam branded shirt in-game but that was only for pre-orders I read.

I dunno, but you should be warned that the keys are one-time-only and for only one char. I used it, remade the char better to my liking and lost the atv. Writer / Musician / Game Designer Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 |

I've seen people wearing the Steam T-Shirt, so yeah, its out there. But its a crappy shirt your character will wear for a while at the start of the game but soon replace with something better. Worthless in my opinion. Buy the game through the developers. They get more money that way to develop the game with and you will get the ATV. You can buy a horse for very cheap in-game so whichever site is offering the free horse is not as good of a deal. (EDIT: There was a HUGE debate in this thread about Steam after I made this post and I posted several very long, detailed and undeniable explanations for why Steam is a form of DRM. However several Steam Fanboys couldn't contain their natural blood lust and the mods had to delete half of this thread. Well, they didn't HAVE to... but they did. Too bad.) Hi Ralter, I am not a Steam Fanboi but do use it. You don't like it, that is fine, but don't call it a scam when that is not true at all. It is also not true that you must be on line and connected to play. You can play every game in off-line mode when you launch it. However, if connected it will track your unlockables and achievements in real time. I like steam well enough and so far it is the fastest direct DL service. it also updates quickly and tracks updates for all of your games. Pretty useful. Just my 2 cents. Steam is fine. |

I got mine from Steam as well, a day after release, put the key in game and it said "invalid key" so assumed that it was cos i got the game after release and not pre-order. Maybe i will try again.
As for Steam, i didn't teally like it at first, but tbh i can't fault it now, it does not take up any resource on my PC, it keeps all the games i have on it updated transparently. Still i can understand why ppl dont like it. |

For FE you can purchase on steam and play without loading steam up first, in fact you have to play it separate from what I've heard. ----- |

No issue with Steam here either. Bought on my desktop PC, downloaded and played. Moved to my laptop, steam showed "new game" not installed, I clicked installed and played (of course it wont let you start the game on the same Steam account in 2 places, for obvious reasons). Performance wise...i dont see any issue from running steam. Happy buyer through Steam here (3rd time). |
