Personally I hate alot of the bullshit hype built into Aion, yes I've played it (Korean and the NA betas) and chose not to play it mostly due to the rabid fanboi forced pvp gank rapers but that's my opinion :P

Seriously, where are these better games that you keep mentioning? I'm about to go find another forum because this one is full of complete retards with the occassional decent person.

Middle Aged Men? I disagree 100% I believe it’s the 13-20 year old crowd myself.
As for it being nothing like a F2P, You’re wrong, it’s allot like a F2P. It's just done better and polished. I play the Game, Like the Game and have no plans to leave any time soon. I think that it doesn't matter what game comes out, some like it, some hate it and on this site they take it to the extreme.

I wasnt insulted.  I rather enjoyed his little tirade against clowns like you.

Aion is just like every F2P game out there, really though. It's blah, the player character models are the only thing cool about the game. and there is NOTHING unique about it. Pure raw korean clone, a real gamer wouldn't touch it.

Let's list the MMOs that are better then Aion

World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Warhammer online

every mmo you pay monthly for is bette then this game.

Why? Because they all attempted something that was never done before. WoW has Phasing, age of conan has AE Arch Combat system and Amazing graphics, Warhammer online had public quests, many many unique classes, fun artstyle, awesome pvp

Aerial combat does not count in this game as "original" as all of the super hero games such as Champions online and City of X do it.

Melee combos don't count because Dark Age of Camelot does it infinitely better.

The landscape is dry and bland, with the occasional big tree with sparkly a particle effects around it. It's open and not very engaging.

How they could improve it

Reduce the health of all mobs/increase player characters damage so you can easily slay hundreds in the span of a few minutes to make the grind feel like you're less of a wimp and more of a "daeva"

Rename the classes to less bland and confusing / blah names Gladiators were never warriors that would go out and fight things, they were sportsmen like football players.  Spirit masters shouldn't be in the mage line they should be in the cleric line, Assassins aren't very assassin like, their stealth is sub par.

Flight should last much much longer, say 5 minutes at base. and it should NOT take like 3 times the amount of time to recharge flight time. like 3 minutes to recharge 1 minute's worth of flight. I don't pay 15 bucks a month to play a game that takes me forever to get places i want to go. This is a game not a job i want fun NOW.

Games are meant to be fun, people fail to realize that and then we get korean clone grindfests being hoisted up as "amazing" and "fun" when nobody really thinks so.
