To each his own, play what you want to pay for. AION - felt like another go into WoW just with great graphics. Fallen Earth - Feels more like an Alpha Game to me, maybe Q3/Q4 2010 it will be more polished. Champions Online - Currently enjoying, has it's bugs but having fun with my 40. In response to the OP.. what Operating System are you running? If you are running Windows 7/Vista I may know your issue and it happened to me on a patch or two in beta. |

Originally posted by nickelpat What he said is valid, the game lacks in content, I knew there'd be instances, but I didn't know I'd have to sit there and choose one each time I zoned, I'd rather be automatically placed in one, with ones with friends taking highest priority, then ones with supergroup mates, then highest to lowest. I don't think it'd be THAT hard to make a little set of options. The game is good for a bit of fun, but it's not lasting. That's why I, too, am looking into FE. If you want to check MY post history, you'll see few posts about CO and I also rather enjoy Aion right now,

You can disable instance selection, so that its automatic. Its a check box right at the bottom of the selection window that pop's up. If you are grouped it will put you in the same one, assuming its not filled up. |

I have yet to experience nor read any problems from others with the same issue. Of course, I purchased my copy from D2D, which I find highly more reliable than how Steam does their stuff. And, your post history has been nothing more than fanatically praising FE and fanatically bashing CO and Aion. Yeah... sounds like you got an agenda. Thus, makes me further believe that everything you've said about CO is false. Just calling it how I see it.

The lack of content and finishing that content in less than a month at a casual pace and running into the fact that once you start an alt and pick canada instead of the desert you have now done everything the game has to offer made me look elsewhere. I picked up fallen earth and turned out to be a fun side MMO and may become my main when it gets a bit of tlc. In any case, if you like CO stick with it the point is to be entertained and if you still are with CO great just don't get bent out of shape that not everyone is still enjoying it. Those that this portion was meant for know who they are. |

Basically, FE, a lot more depth, complexity and more for the 'hardcore' player... CO, a failgasm of mediocraty that the masses wil mindlessly accept as quality. Not to say it doesn't have some fun in it, but it's mostly poo and not worth people's money. |

I really wanted to enjoy CO but the more i play the more i hate it, what a dumb game. Im crazy for a new MMO but i guess i would prefer an expansion to CoX than this crap. Not to mention that even AoC runs better on my comp i think, the game looks heavy and i didnt find the graphics great. |

It's not the time that it takes to get the screen to load, which is fast on my screen too.

Really? I tried Fallen Earth and I felt it was awful. Too much like I had to make my own fun rather than enjoying content already there for me. "Because it's easier to nitpick something than to be constructive." -roach5000 |

Same here ... only I stopped playing Aion as well as Champions , Fallen Earth has grabbed in a way that has'nt happened since Everquest 1 early days ! only sad thing is is that I may have wasted some money on Aion and Champions , but I guess can always resub to either of them at a later date. |

The interesting thing that really got me in this game, is that as I progress it just gets better and easier to enjoy myself. Whereas some games start out one way and by max level what was once fun has changed and is no longer fun, or you find yourself doing something different for end game that you weren't doing previously....in FE the same things I found fun at the start are still fun (eventhough I'm nowhere near the end but still). |

Fact of the matter is CO is great at lower levels, but by the time you reach your mid 20's there is honestly not much left to look forward to. You have all the powers you will need or should want by that time. It turns into this constant grind and quest game witch in and of itself is ok if they offered you somthing to look forward too. No great powers or uber loot just more of the same is what CO has to offer. |

Well, that is not really accurate banecrow. At your mid 20s you get your nemesis and start doing nemisis quests and gaining nemesis rewards. there are plently of fun missions up through the 30s. When you hit your 30s you go on the Monster Island Crisis (which is a blast) and start doing adventures in MI. A little later you are off to Lemuria and the crisis there. You still have plently of power options at that point, at least I have. Once you close on max level you have Unilty missions as well though I have not gotten there yet. There is a content gap in the 30s that forces you to grind some but they have started filling that up. Overall, they need to keep infusing content but to say there is not much to do by the mid 20s is not what I have found at all. |

Dont get me wrong I did have fun but it just got old fast. I did do Monster Island and lemuria both are fun you are right. As for the Nemisis stuff yeah it is a interesting concept but what I was talking about is character growth, in many games you are always looking forward to that upgrade of a spell or special ability that comes in a few more levels. Well that honestly stoped around lv 26 in Champions. Yes there are a LOT of power options but unless you want ANOTHER different attack power you get real limited. You honestly do not need many attack powers in this game, you want your energy builder, a main single target power, AE power and maybe a close combat AE. After those you look at some defencive abilities and utility. well you can only ever have 1 defencive ability active so that limits what you need to get there. It comes down to the fact that yes you do get a bunch of options to buy powers but do you really need them? You already have your attack powers by this point and unless you want to have electric dd power in addition to your fire dd (or some other combo of your choice) it is pointless you will only ever be using one of them in a fight unless you are just wanting to mess around for kicks and giggles. That is my big complaint about there not being anything to look forward to I want to have a reason for leveling all the way up to 40, give me some power or option to look forward to. Its kindof like playing a game in god mode, you get bored fast. |
