I have checked they also said in the past that release date was going to be in 4th quarter of the year and its supposed to be the same with 2009, so i wonder if it can be true.

Beta has been on indefinite hold since last December. It's not going to be released anytime soon, if ever.

If everything started to magicly go right from this point on, and they had finished code today,  a 2009 release would be almost impossible. Its almost October, if its not already on the way to disk manufacturing, its not coming out this year.

but yeah, no chance the game is going to be released this year, and next year doesnt look too good ATT.

They are too busy swindling money out of investors to actually bother with the game.

To anwser the question: No, it will not release this year.

But to give you the information you REALLY NEED: This game will probably never get released. They aren't even working on it anymore. Most of the staff has quit, been fired or isn't coming into work anymore due to lack of pay. The company has decided to produce some Star Gate based FPS game to try to raise funds while they continue to beg people to invest in their company, but I seriously doubt this plan will work. Factor in the lawsuits, Gary running off with most of the money and other issues and there really is no hope for this game.

This thread is the first time anyone has even replied to anything in this forum in days. I think people have really given up on even bashing this game because there just isn't any point in beating a horse this dead.

Some people said Darkfall was Vaporware but that wasn't true (even though it's quality can be discussed, in another thread).

This however is the deffinition of Vaporware. They produced a game so badly coded that Sigil would laugh at them if they havn't got fired to the last man when SOE bought them. The shape of the game was unplayable and they have done a lot to swindle money from the investors and other people.

The surprising thing is that MGM still is backing them, either they know something we don't or they are just retarded.

Still, this game is my #1 game that I guess wont be released. Read the threads here, some poor guys here have invested in the company.

The absolutly best thing would be if they could get SOE to buy them up, you can say what you want of SOE but they at least finnish their games and don't go around and beg for cash from private investors.

Well, they did get some more money a little while ago and are claiming that they still work on it. If that is true they are working very slow.

SGW will be out when it is out. I say expect a Q2-Q3 2010 release. But we will have stargate battles by the end of the year hopefully.
