I have installed Windows 7 on my laptop and have the hard copy of Aion. I tried to install it, it gets to like 80% and then gives me an error with the cyclic redundancy check.... it try to do it again, same spot , same thing!
Sooooo i goto my desktop (which runs XP) and it installs fine. Currently i'm downloading a copy from NCsoft through their downloader for my laptop, but almost wondering if it's going to be a waste of time/bandwidth.
I found no such luck finding an answer with NCsofts support page, Just wondering if it's an O/S thing, and if so, if anyones found a work around? |

Have been playing on windows 7 x64 since the open beta. Haven't had any problems.
The cyclic redundancy check usually means bad disk, harddrive or CD drive. So downloading it from the website is certainly not a waste of time. |

Yup, it installs and works fine on Windows 7, as does every other AAA MMO and more than 100 other MMOs and 1p games, that I've personally played and/or tested since I started using W7 64bit from beta to current time. |

Running it on the final version of Windows 7 (RTM, 64 bit) and no issues. Aion should run fine on anything from XP to Windows 7 either x86 or x64. -------------------------------- |

I was curious if anyone played on Vista then jumped to 7 and noticed any performance improvement in Aion and just overall with gaming? |

I had CRC errors when i used to install programs with large data packages like games. In my case it was not a bad media or a damaged DVD drive but a corrupted RAM chip. I replaced the chip and everything worked fine after that. Try doing a full memory diagnostic check before starting windows making sure that your RAM chips are ok. |
