I went to try to find Aion last night at a few places.  Everywhere I went they were sold out and everyone told me the same thing.  They haven't seen a crush on a PC game like this for years.  Not that I put too much emphasis on Xfire but Aion this morning is almost at 50% of WoW numbers and I bet it climbs much higher.  I wonder how many millions of worldwide subs Aion took from WoW.  Those people didn't just magically appear to play Aion.  Someone lost subs and I bet its mostly WoW.

Boxes sold != subscriptions. Expect similar drop after first month as we have seen with AOC, Warhammer etc..

Thats why they refuse to add more servers -  NCsoft expects this as well.

Aye exactly, just wait a month after the one month of free time expires, and see how many stays and how many resubb. Then they can start looking to add aditional servers if needed.

Most stores will not have then in stock until Friday. I know several that recieved shipments early, and sold out... because they were the only people with them in stock.

I'm not one, but I am willing to bet they don't really care. They play the game they have fun in. They're used to the trolls by now. They've had to listen to the trolls tell them how their game has failed for years now. The haters probably talk about WoW more than WoW fanboi's do.

lol 200k subs... and that Aion worldwide will only have 400k subs tops. Despite the fact that it already has +/- 4 million subs in Asia already... Got to love their dedication. These guys would become suicide bombers for Blizzard if blizz was like "we need to kill Ncsoft! They hurting the world.........of warcarft" 

I wouldn't say they are gaining a lot of sub, my guess they most likely didn't print enough boxes on purpose for same reason they where cheap ass with servers. To try to keep balance up.
 

They did a great job on that launch overall compared to every recent MMo.

Go play warhammer then and see how they should have done the same method of aion an overpopulation 70% to 30% (Or something near).

The majority of people that I know that play WoW aren't gamers per se, just average people.

They could give two flying donkeys about Aion.

Most game stores around where I live (about 250k pop.) don't really carry jack for PC games in the first place. So yeah they had a run on the 10 or 20 boxes they had..wooo.

I have no ideah what will happen to AION, but it is apparent that WOW is dieing. I loved wow. Subs are droping  (slowly). it will take years, but it is on it's way out. Sad times. Great game. 

Age catches up to all games. WOW is no exception. Poor WOW.... 

they did sell over 400k in preorder sales here in the usa an still people are waiting in line in the stores for the game could you just picture how many subs they got around the world millions i bet
