I can't help but notice how jarring the new US voices are (most of the old Korean voices from beta have been replaced with US-recorded ones). Targeting the female voices in particular, my play experience in the game is hearing these whiny, non-believable moans and groans from what just might be the developer's wives or the company secretary who were handed a microphone and asked to "sound mean". All around me as I hack and slash little elephant creatures and flying insects, my speakers barf out the awkward and labored attempts by untrained voice actors to imitate what they perceive to be the noises of combat. Is there a way to revert to the old Korean voices in the options? I'm not a huge fan of Aion's combat system, game engine in general, or it's weird interface, but feel the game's appeal lies in its character customization and graphical presentation of the characters and environments. It's really too bad that such pretty polish is marred so terribly by the most horrific voice acting I've encountered in an MMO. |

I agree the voice acting doesn't work. Part of the problem is not so much that the actors are bad (though some of them are) but that they are the wrong people for the part.

Alright. Go to options and turn it off. Far easier that posting pages of QQ. have a nice day. If a game has all the features of WoW, its nothing but a WoW clone, but if it lacks any of them, its incomplete. |

My brother had made a male character during OB and during the ascension quest when your fighting the boss...you get thrown around...his voice when screaming was the most horrible sound ever a man can make LOL we laughed so hard, we shut the game down just to hear it again for the extra laugh |

Not only worst voice acting, I find it to have the worst music aswell. So I always turn those off. Tho I love it when characters talk like the SIMS goin all: SOMBRERO!!! KARL-ALFRED!!! (Only swedes laughs at that :P )

Ehh? Voice acting i agree but worst music? i guess each to his own. In my opinion, after Guild Wars, Aion has the best soundtrack of any MMO out in the market. |

YEa, I have to update and put this in my Aion Review. IN beta it wasnt so bad, but the new voices are bad.

Had to quickly turn off the calls my chanter made at each spell, one of the most annoying things ever. And I totally agree with the OP, especially female acting is outrageously bad for a top tier P2P game. It's the same kind of actors who think that acting is to make funny faces. |

Yeah, the voice acting is so bad in this game it's actually kind of funny although that isn't the intention. Once you go Shugo you never go baaaaack! Nyerk, nyerk, nyerk 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

I gave up and turned the voice volume off. It was just awful. They really need to change the voices. My assassin (female) just yells and yells on attacks (sometimes I swear I hear an echo too). It would be more appropriate if she just yelled once going into battle then just shut up. |
