Ksing is one of my biggest problems with the game and one of many reasons why I don t really like it. If you want realm pride, or faction whatever it is in this game, this is a downer in that respect. I know you re going to have some idiots in every game, but why have this in the game it s just dumb design. |

I'm on one of the most populated servers and honestly I haven't seen this yet. |

How about "if a questmob dies, then everybody who did damage - no matter if in group or not - gets the quest *pling*". This is how it works in CO (and in CoX too IIRC). |

I ve played many many many MMOs. This design of KSing is flat out stupid. During OB I was waiting for a mob to spawn to complete a quest. I engaged was fighting it for a bit and an assassin comes a nails it for a few seconds and gets credit. How anyone can see this as ok, I ll never understand. To me it s a dumb design and if you want to have fun in a MMO it shouldn t be there. If you like playing a mini game of whos more uber and can steal mobs from you or vice versa then go for it. Also in EQ2 as tagging system at least you engage it first it s yours. How it should be, KSing is a terrible idea. |

It's almost as if people forget how it is in MMOs. People either complain about empty games, or too many people. Besides, once people spread out it won't be as bad. I imagine in a few years those noobie zones will be almost dead, try getting help then. |

KIllstealing was also a problem for me here and there. With my Cleric i'm often not able to load up enough damage to tag a mob quick. Lost alot of mobs to all other classes, but found mainly Sorcs and Scouts stealing my mobs. Irony is, that in the later levels these will be the people nagging me "NEED HEAL, JOIN GRP PLZ!!"
And yes, cute ribbit was a joke with 30+ people in every 10 instances trying to talk to Rae. |

I can imagine the map is very tiny and many channels provided for the same zone, but it required to change zone frequently and waiting for reconnection to the server. All because the game seems has insufficient area designed for certain levels. It coud be catastrophic if you switched zone still had same problem. Maybe AION should create a few more zones to resolve overcrowdy issue. It seems to me that AION is similar to Cable Online. KS is typical F2P or Korean play style. The one who deal most damages would get the kill and loot.

This post is rediculous. The first day when it's crowded you just gotta deal with it. I played Cleric yesterday. You know how many times I started casting Smite on a mob and before the spell fires some melee runs in and engages it. They probably didn't know I was casting so instead of coming to the forums crying about it I just moved on. I'll bet most of the people you thought were KSing you had actually started casting before you engaged. And the spawn camping is also to be expected when there's 10x as many noobies in the zone as it was designed for. You could have solved most of that by changing the channel. Oh and the tagging system in EQ2 sucks. With that system people run around tagging everything. At least with this system they cant steal from a group. |

You missed my point entirely. I was engaged to a mob for quite awhile, an assassin runs up fully knowing i m fighting it, unless he s just plain blind. He gets credit. If I remember correctly he even laughed or something at me. It a complete unneccesary elemet in this game and wrecks alot for me, and obviously many others as well. Thats one of the first complaints I hear about Aion. |

i agree with what most are saying, headstart was huge. the zones wasn't made to have that many people in them at once. now i mean they can handle the people but how much more lag would their be if they had enough mobs in that zones for every single person on that quest? mob respawn is fast in Aion, he'll i seen some of the emos crying it was too fast because it was hard for them to rp because if they kill something it should revive too fast (lost immersion or something) hell if you went back just later that night not weeks later like otehrs have said it was alot better. most rolling 1 main and staying on it, and people last in the newbie zones MAYBE 2-3 hours to get to 10,more due to the fact quests took longer to complete.(over pop). i played with guildies that went over from CoH then i had to leave, came back and couple other friends had just got off work so i rolled a new one to play with them. MUCH better just at like 9pm east, we rolled through the quests hit 10 in like an hour or so. |

The only problem I have is that the server was too crowded. You have to expect an amount of KSing. I knew it would happen and it did. So what. I did everything I could to NOT to KS. but the truth is, you had people comming from every direction, It's going to happen. You didn't see me crying about it. I would say, open another server or two, but after the cry babies leave, it should be normal.

WoW's system is for casters, if you're a melee you're SoL. having said that, there is no perfect way of dealing with it honestly. having it the "who does the most dmg wins" sux for tanks/healers when they're soloing. the "tag its mine" favors casters, i've seen this in WoW when BC was released, lock kept casting his insta dots on everything around him so no one else could get any of the hellboars.he had his priest friend there with him, if you wasn't right on top of the mob his dot would tick before you could hit it. but its only like that because there is so many smashed into one little area, once its been out a week or 2 tops people will be more scattered. i had no problems in the chinese/korean servers just because i didn't start playing on them right away. |

Originally posted by charlionfire Yeah definately it will become better. What I mean is, why couldn't it work like this: -Mobs that drop quest items should be among the most frequent mobs in the zone, not the least frequent. -Dropped quest items should be lootable by all players in the party. -Mob tagging should work like in other mmos (if I am first, it's my mob). -Unique quest NPCs and fixed quest items should exist for all players simultaneously.
yeah it made questing easier, but it made little sense when a human mob dropped 5 heads. |

Paladins are the ones who are left out (unless WoW has added some sort of ranged pull (without needing to take engineering for thrown explosives). WoW's system isn't perfect, but it is clearly better than Aion's and works extremely well for groups. "" Voice acting isn't an RPG element....it's just a production value." - grumpymel2 |
