We know the real answer though. :]

This game just might cut down that 400 lb. gorilla in the room that is WOW. I predict that Aion will be big. I just hope NC Soft is ready for the masses that are sure to come! |

What are you smoking and would you please share? The game hasn't officially launched, for one, and two - the 5 hour queues and server crashes hardly constitute a smooth sudo-launch. CoH had a much better launch by far, and so did LotRO. I like Aion, but this headstart launch (which is what it actually is) was pretty much handled incredibly poorly. I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play. |

I guess you think only a WoW clone can be the WoW killer.... |

define poorly? Cause I don't think anyone who was online in the servers thinks the game was handled Poorly at all.
There is nothing to complain about. What are YOU smoking? Veritas Vos Liberabit- The truth will set you free. |

Pretty damn smooth. Really impressive honestly. The game is extremely polished, and feels like a finished AAA game which MMO's almost never do out of the gate.
Great fun, and that is what it's all about. |

So the people playing had no complaints... what about the people waiting in the queue for hours at a time? I guess their complaints don't count. :/ |

I highly doubt it was hours. I don't know about the EU servers but the NA servers didn't have any problems. Like I said before my friend had a 670 something Q and I had a ~300 Q and we both were in in ~ 30 mins.
Also. Q Lines aren't something Ncsoft really cares about right now. If anything they love it because they know how many more people want to play. They will soon lvl everything out and all will be well. Day one of the headstart is hardly the time to worry about server Q's.... 400,000 people logging into (what was it?) ~10 servers, yeah there will be a Q. But you know what? While all you poor souls were stuck in Q. There was no overload lag in the servers you guys were trying to get into. We played perfect, Undisturbed games. Just to let you know, not every server is like yours. My guilds server had over 3k Q and it was taking atleast 1-2 hours...so yea |

I personally waited 5 hours. Your friend got lucky and you are "doubting" events you did not witness. |

The queue and the wait time you see right now is actually NCSoft model for the launch day. The short answer is NO, THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. It's their intention in the first place. They intentionally make you wait. Will they add more servers? May be later, but not now. Let me make it more clear. This is their model for launch day. It will not change. You will have to wait until the rush is over. It will probably be several weeks. This exact same thing happened twice before at Korean and Chinese launch. You will see queue for a while and then after the rush is over, then they will evaluate the server load and added more server if needed. |

Aion Closed beta testing in Korea began in late 2007, so its not just one year. You didn't answer my previous question. How many lvls have you played? have you seen entire content of Aion that you know this game has no bugs at all? its unfair to compare Aion which went through beta twice and had one year of live game experience with other MMO who never had this luxury. |

I would say its one of the best done launches I have ever seen. Game is very polished, very high quality, I think they should have made 4 more servers but truth be told they probably predict the rapid downfall of players come after the first 30 days are up. So the servers they have is more than likely enough to keep the ones who will stay happy and with plenty of people to play with. |

I think its a bit too early to say. If they sort the current queuing mess out in the next day or so then I think it is up there. Most games have teething problems the first 48 or so hours. However if not then the game will be nigh on launched in the EU with plenty of people not being able to take advantage of one of the bonuses that they parted money for early - which I think will drive quite a few away (particularly as I can't see it getting any better when the game is launched officially). The next 24 hours I think are very important to the way this story will be told in the future. |

I doubt it had a better launch than WAR, which was flawless. WAR can hang its hat on that, at least. Too bad its worthless to creditors. |
