Uhm so yeah this started happen yesterday or the day before, when I click on a thread name sometimes it takes me to general discussion instead of the real topic which is frustrating when it keeps on happening.

Anyone got any suggestion if it maybe is a problem from me and not from the site?

i've had it happen a few times, not sure whats going on, might wanna let them know in the site suggestions or e-mail them.

I'm using firefox not internet explorer.

This could happen because you clicked on a thread that has been deleted or moved since your browser read the link.

Same happens to me. Not only with the title of a thread, but also if a thread has several pages and i click the number.

FF, latest version here.

The threads that I clicked on are still in aion section so dunno if it's a problem from me or from the site, I see that many have this problem.

 I didn't realise, but Meddle is doing webmastery type stuff currently, so please be patient. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Besides being over run by fanbois, trolls, nerd rage-quitters, emo whiners, grammar nazi's, overbearing moderators, overlong, rambling posts that lack logic or rational thought?

Nope, working as designed. 

But I did experience the phenomenon mentioned above.

If you guys can recreate this anywhere please post it here or even better email with the link to make it happen consistently at ben @ mmorpg.com.

Not really, for me this happens when i click  on the "Last" page of an existing thread. For example, say I see a thread "I like cake...12345...Last" and i want to go to its last page, if I click on the word last i just get taken to http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm instead of that thread!

This has been happening for a few weeks now for me....

whats odd is that it doesn't happen to every thread, for example it redirects me when i click on "Last" on this thread.

Any status regarding this issue? Im still experience this problem, and its quite random. Using Firefox...

It usually happens in threads where posts have been deleted....

Let’s say a thread is 5 pages long then say 2 post gets deleted and now is now 4 pages long....when you click on the link it looks for the 5th page which is not there now so redirects you to general page...me thinks.

I can't seem to re-create this issue with my admin account or test accounts.  We did recently remove a piece of the system that kept users session alive for an indefinite period after logging in as long as you never closed the browser window.  It was causing issues with some folks and the contest system.  I've bumped the session timeout up from 20 to 60 minutes in hopes that this could resolve some of the login issues.
