Everyone on this site needs to relax.  Half flame the game for it's being too similar to WoW and not similar enough to sandbox, and half defend the game to its death.  If a game is bad, I admit it.  This isn't the best game I can envision, but I certainly can see worse.  I haven't played an MMO since WAR being part of the first month ragequit and before that WoW and GW.

Just giving up a game because of its earliest content is like if I gave up an FPS because I couldn't customize my character the way I wanted.  In both cases, the parts of the game exposed to you have nothing to do with the juicy PvP content available.  I am in love with territory control ever since playing BF2 and just want a decent MMO to finally be released.

And, if it is bad, I will be the first to put it down.  Of course any fangirls and trolls/haters will have their usual kneejerk reaction of buy buy buy or sell sell sell.

Canceled mine becouse I couldn't get into it. Just seemed like the same old same old with much nicer pixels. However, wish it well as lots of my rl freinds love it and hope everybody who plays it has great time.

I can post that "I already canceled the game" but in fact I have never ordered the game.  How would you know who is telling the truth??  Unless you request everyone to post the web page that show them have canceled the game as a proof.

Again, personally I could careless who is playing or who is canceling the game, nothing to do with me anyway.  I don't own NCsoft stock and I don't work for NCsoft.

I paid for 5 extra copies... 3 for my sisters kids (being as they are in college she might hate me) and 2 others for friends that just lost their jobs but I really like playing games with.

I'll tell you what I do love. The character creator. I've never seen so many beautiful avatars in a game. I really liked my look too so it disappoints me I won't be playing.

aion is probably one of the most well-rounded and complete mmorpgs ive played for a while. the core mechanics are pretty sound, classes are surprisingly well-balanced, crafting system isn't useless, lot of solo quests, group quests, dungeons, world boss monsters, beautiful environment and characters, flying, small group pvp, large scale pvp, aerial pvp, fortress pvp. I can keep on going on and on.

most importantly, ncsoft has been great to their customers as they actually listen to them and cater to their needs. trolls would try to put down ncsoft saying that they don't care about us because we arent as important as the koreans, but guess what- ncsoft just slammed it in their faces by keeping us up to date with the same version as koreans, removing gamegaurd, and giving the ability for SM pets to fly (SM gets love even though they account for less than 8% of players). personally i have dealt with ncsoft customer service from guild wars until now and they are quick, reliable, and helpful.

you guys are missing out on a great game that is backed by reliable company if you quit, just because you think you've seen it all in OB when in actuality you havent event touched maybe 5% of what aion has to offer.

To be fair, the charactor creater is awsome. Same as fallout 3, spent ages getting my toon just right. :)

Those are very valid points as to why you like the game. Just as most people who don't like the game have just as valid points. Differents tastes for different folks. In my opinion if you want to get my attention as a game you have to make it fun from start to end. All these people keep posting .."it gets better it gets better later on". O for one am not going to risk it cause gawd know people in forums don't lie at all. I tried the game wasn't for me i have my reasons most would disagree some would agree. Point is we all have our reasons and opinions.

I totally agree on both posts but I just don't agree with OP because there are so many posts about "why did I order this game?" or "I cancel my order" kind of posts in this forum already.  Do we really need another post like this?

I lol'd, if your sister's kids are into MMOs they are gonna find a way to get Aion either way... actually come to think of it since they are in college they can pretty much get anything if they so desire that will distract them from their studies... better an MMO than some of the other destructive behaviour college students get into ;P

After 3 years of WoW, I quit, and it wasn't because of the game, the game is wonderful, it was more the degradation of the community on my server that turned me off.

I'd give almost anything to go back and relive the first year of WoW... and since it was my third and final time quitting WoW for 9+ months I made a point of making it permanent.   The past 3 years MMO-wise have sucked the big one, I tried to get into every new MMO that's come out over the years, and I even went as low as to try f2p games for a while... >_<

After playing the Aion Open Beta (past lvl 20, god does nobody realized 1-10 in any MMO is supposed to be an introduction to NEW PLAYERS... if you're an MMO vet of course it'll be boring)  I realized that I had found the next big MMO for me, and I'm more excited than ever for Aion release!

Also this applies to the OP, i did cancel my Aion account... but only to uncancel it and put it onto a different credit card :D  that counts right?

I canceled my CE account after playing on the chinse servers for about six months the game got old.  It really does not bring much new to the genre exect flight ang that got old quick with exploits.  I guess i will wait or something nex but not sure what that might be but for the most part the genre gotten old with just better looking games doing the same old same old.  My advice for ppl is if you like the mmo you are playing keep enjoying it cause aion does not bring much new.

Well i'm sure like many others i pre-orderd the game with full intentions of buying it. But  heres the thing after trying the game i quickly realised it wasn't for me.  So due to that fact i canceled my pre-order. If that makes me a retard in your eyes well so be it but maybe someone could explain it a different way, maybing with pretty pictures and smaller words
