In your oppinion what would fix World of Warcraft, make it one of the most enjoyable games ever?

For me.

1. Removal of the queue, and the weekly reset.

What I am saying here is, the majority of your time in this game at max level is spent waiting for a queue for a BG, or waiting for your weekly dungeons to reset so you can clear it again. Blizzard's only mechanism to stop the mass farming of instances is to place a reset timer on EVERY instance that has any good item.

This needs to change, either by adding way more instances and raids, or by adding open world things to do. The majority of my time at max level in WoW was spent standing in Dalaran, waiting in a queue, waiting for my guild mates to come online to clear Ulduar, Naxx or whatever. There was nothing, absolutely nothing fun to do as a person that likes to progress their character.

2. Some PvP Focus.

How many raid dungeons are in WoW? And How many Battlegrounds? Yeah my point exactly.

Blizzard has had 5 years to get PvP in WoW up to par. They could have created a good PvP system by now, but they do not touch it. Instead of addressing the class balance and trying to make things in arena fair, they just do away with the 2 vs 2 bracket as far as getting items. Well GG, you just screwed a lot of people. Rock Paper Scissors, that doesn't work in 2 vs 2, 1 vs 1, 3 vs 3, it doesn't matter how you stack it, it DOES NOT WORK.

You would honestly be better off to just give away the arena items for honor points. Just let everyone have the good pvp items so that you can create some fun AND BALANCED pvp. 1 shotting noobs with your godly axe is NOT PvP, its just ripping noobs.

Just make tons of PvP achievements and give people cool titles from those i guess. I don't know the answers, but something has got to be better than the current system. Sure anyone could get awesoem PvP items given they spend the massive ammount of time required to gain that much honor, but hey isn't that what getting items is about? Spending lots of time to get your items? Nobody has to be in the top 5% of raiders to get epics, so PvP shouldn't either.

PvP is balanced based on everyone having top items, therefore anyone that doesn't have them is not balanced. Fix it.

These are just my thoughts, lets hear yours.

Redesign and a new Engine? lol

Seriously though, they would have to have a graphics overhaul and more importantly a new approach to the game especially around the combat model, gear, and raiding.

A lot of issues that are/will be  already adressed...

I know I know the changes ARE fast these days.

1. First Raids these days can be prolonged longer than a week: you can "postpone them" as long  s you want. ... and dungeons are reset every day btw.

2. Your waiting in a queue to do dungeons will drastically be lower after the 3.3 patch with the clustered dungeon servers. So expect the LFG tool to address 10 or maybe even 20X more players than the current 3K players on your server. Giving very quick access to around 60 dungeons as of Cat (but the dungeon servers will already be there in patch 3.3).

3. Waiting time for BG's??? Mine open after one minute max at 80: ALL.

4. Some PvP Focus? 7 BG's with 3 new in CAT added and a new open world PvP zone à la Wintergrasp but this time with 5 crucial  points to capture all over the maps...

5. The coming back of rated Battlegrounds and PvP BG title awards like the old times (read before Dec 2006). You 'll be doing more PvP than you would want believe me.

Edit: Blizz just confirmed that rated BG weapons will be in CAT (but not yet this season).

So ... perhaps next time go to www.wowinsider.com

You had pretty good ideas, but most are already adressed. Happy reading. Pages full over there of what you proposed amongst other.

I'm not really a WOW fan but, honestly, this seems like a silly question to ask about one of the most popular and least broken MMOs on the market.

And like I answered above. A lot of his rather good points is already in (or come in the new patch).

That is extremely subjective.

I don't know, but the reverse would be true as no one is going to pay for a broken game.

Remove Battlegrounds

Let you capture contested territory

Add more character customization so you don't feel like a clone

What would fix this game?

Another MMO from Blizzard so WOW will not be the sole victim of its success and frustrated players no longer give silly QQ comments .

Wow may not have the most ideal pvp system for every dedicated pvp players dream but it is one of the best pvp systems on the market.  It has more options than most games, including some of the pvp ones.  It also balances very well for a pve game and is very well designed.

Saying the game needs to be fixed is a bit of a stretch though.  More pvp players chose to play on wow pvp servers than any single pvp mmo right now.

I would like to see some incentives put on the pvp daily quest areas and more open world objectives that are designed for pvp.  They concept of them was great, but the execution wasn't so good.  Wintergrasp was a step in the right directionas was the new battlegrounds.

Are you serious?

I was fortunate enough to have a well geared ret paladin for arena, how well do you think I did? And no I didn't roll a ret paladin just because I knew they were strong, I played the same BE paladin since 1 week after the release of BC, was ret even when ret was not wanted anywhere.

I simply think it would be much better to give a LOT more players PvP armor and weapons, you know like raid armor and weapons are everywhere, and then have some real pvp going down.

Any goon can ride the wave to full epics in ulduar + raids after watchign the 1000's of google videos on boss fights, so why not pvp armor too?

P.S. if you really are Furor, I really enjoyed training the crap out of your guild in EQ.

 One way to Fix wow, Uninstal it, and wait for "WoW2" to come out, whit uppdatet graphix, Char creation from Aion.

Bether crafting and gathering, come one, A master Armor smith should be able to make the best armor in game, Not get it from a Random mob in a raid.

Player housing, (instead of a bank). Mounts from lvl 1, (ala RoM) way wayt intil lvl 40, or is it 30 now?.

The drop rate of Quest items,, (raptor heads in Barens)... (come on, way wont 1 raptor drop 1 head?????)

O and, let players be able to play Nutral in Pve. (open upp for Cros faktions Guilds on Pve/RP servers)

Give me 2-3 of this fixes and il come back in a second. (Grafix be a must)

I WANT A SCI-FI MMO!! (NOT EVE, or Fom, or FE)

Variety is the spice of life, unfortunately, it's also the bane of balance.

I think it might be too late to fix the PvP in the game, but I would say make all specs viable.

 More hard core pvp would help WOW.

Also.. you all may not like this; but they should have a standard 10% xp loss upon death like in eq1.. It would make for better players..

I think the game is beyond repair but...

GENERAL:

- simplify talent trees;

- remove half of the abilities of all classes to stop with the cooldowns carpal tunnel combat has become;

- exp loss penalty/recovery indentical to everquest1;

- 280% mount cost halved

PVE:

- put a keying/attuning for raids trough group-quests;

- introduce a coding taking into account which classes enter an instance so that loot-drops are more coherent ; an majorly plate group (common with many paladin/dk running around + the odd warrior) only seeing cloth during an instance is infuriating;

- slow down 70-80 lvling;

- remove 10-man raids;

- remove item-damage completely;

- buff up warriors in single-target taunt, and dps;

PVP:

- remove 3vs3 and 2vs2 completely from the game;

- nerf paladins and deathknights;

- remove the resilience stat, and make everyone have 0% crit against other controlled players;

- nerf high burst dps (means nerf melees classes' burst)

- all stuns of all classes duration reduced to 1 second,

EQ1 2000-2004 - Shaman/Bard/Wizard/Monk
WoW Vanilla and WOTLK (didn't come back for TBC) - retired

 nha its not that complicated

wow just need to have a veteran server

like no compass

no coordinate

no add-on

no map

no spoon feeding basicly

thats what wow miss a vereran server

i probably forget some info but you guys get the idea if you played everquest

yes wow way is good but one your finished ,it doesnt cut it

they should still have implemented one server for veteran

and only avail if you went to we ll say ulduar and finished it

why! keep the noob out ,im sorry but most veteran are fairly happy with wow

only those small thing i mention would add a bit of fun and remove the junk speach of world chat

or at least diminish it

hell i wish all game had veteran server
