I do feel sorry for anyone who writes this game off because they read some angry, clueless post by someone somewhere, because they are truly going to miss out on a great online community, friends, and experience.
I dont feel sorry for them because those same people are the ones that ruin the community. I say good ridance, let them go play one of the new ones on the hype list. Elder scrolls online: Voice your concerns here :http://www.zenimax.com/contact.php |

This game has alot of ground breaking changes compared to the first, i dont know what dumb fucks are doing saying the game has no changes( i dont know why a person bothers to comment on a games thread that they neither like or know anything about its as if they have no life.... oh yeah they dont i keep forgetting my hobbys reqular crowd is a bunch of fat nerds-god bless em) but anyway the game has a whole new skill system similar to oblivion, darkfall, ultima online etc. WHICH is sweet the skill leveling system is the funnest and on a major title like this it will be mind numbingliy fun, Second BETTER GRAPHICS!!!! i didnt play much of the old ffxi only got to level 20 the reason i quit was because of how old the game was, The new ffxi world is quite beautiful, its the same cool art style but in great resolution with huge open landscapes to create a realistic seemless fantasy world, NEXT they put in a very easy class change system, if your group needs a wizard you can change from your lancer or gladiator to a magic class or you can do a mixture of sword and magic. And if your more of a lover than a hater and want a peacefull mmo, say hella no to the fighting and be a crafter, the crafting is extensive and developers say crafting can literally be your whole ffxiv experience, its been rumored that there will be a crop growing craft similar to Harvest moon or farmville WHICH Would quite easily rock any natsume fans socks off and right up their butthole....yeah , Fishing hunting, and all these other crafts are reported as in game and fully functional in dev talks, THIS makes everyones gameplay rich and diverse. PLAYER housing and GUILD halls are in game and similar to FFXI housing but on ign. i read this and i like it alot- players in the same guild can have their houses all and their guild hall all in one instance and you aparently can decorate the outside with trees and flowers- a lil bit of animal crossing in your mmo game, EVERY HOUSE HAS A YARD IN FFXIV which is cool and in the yard is where you can grow fruits and such. ----------------------SOOOO HERES THE CONCLUSION FFXIV IS A SHIT TON OF NEW AND GOOD IDEAS IN A OLD LOVABLE WORLD THAT WILL BE SEAMLESS, WITH GOOD GRAPHICS, AND WILL LIKE FFXI SEEM LIKE A LIVING BREATHING WORLD FULL OF LIFE AND DIVERSITY WITH HUNDREDS OF THINGS TO DO AND BE, ITS GONNA BE A GAME WHERE THE PLAYERS WILL TRULY RUN THE WORLD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A MMO, WELL BE THE CUTE LITTLE NPCS FISHING OR BEING A FULL TIME ARMORSMITH OR ALCHEMIST , OOOOOOH I CANT WAIT I JUST CANT FUCKING WAIT SOOOO IM GONNA SHOOT MYSELF ...NO JOKE , PEACE |

Turn based combat is archaic and outdated. You have to be crazy to be upset that SE finally dropped the feature that held the FF series down from making it to the next generation of gaming.

And even a bigger surprise, the combat is turn based in FFXI too. What you mean to say is that FFXI is real-time turn based game. You don't spam the attack button like in Diablo or something, even WoW is many times faster than XI's combat. I don't know how you could even think that the fact that the combat is real time makes it need less thinking and strategy than the non-realtime Fantasies. The difference is that you're not given time to ponder your next move for ages before the monster attacks again, making the game more challenging more than anything. It doesn't mean that you have to think 'less' by default, only that you need to think just as much as before but faster. Too bad if this is too much for you.

This is exactly right. And didn't they state they are considering a system that is similar to FFXI but without auto attacks? That is as close as you are going to get to turn based in a mainstream MMO. If anything, Mesa should be praising this game for not copying all of the button mashing MMOs out there such as WoW. It just goes to show Mesa likes to flame a game without knowing anything about it. Good, hopefully he won't play it. |
