I love pvp; and I am looking for a new game. I feel that wow, EQ2, and most others have care-bear pvp and the fighting is over way too fast. Anyone have any suggestions for a great pvp game for me ? FYI.. I loved SWG Pre CU PVP if that helps making a suggestion. Thanks all. G.E.Schaefer |

I would suggest Guild Wars. It's basically a pvp game with a thick pve shell. I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem. |

Darkfall if you want fantasy based FFA PVP with harsh death penalties, EVE online if you still want meaningful PVP in a space theme but have the ability to control your PVP encounters, Runes of Magic if you want something F2P but WOW like. Mortal online is coming in the future, could also be something you'd enjoy. (and of course, Aion comes out next week, so you could be part of the start) "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

If you aren't a carebear I strongly suggest giving Darkfall a chance. You will either love it or hate it. The pvp is amazingly fun though as it makes up the better half of the game! |

Aion isn't like SWG pre CU, thats for sure, but it will be a PvP game, and the more there are the better it is. Plus It's always kinda fun to start a game that is just being released, get to explore all the stuff be a pioneer, ect. I mean, its been released for a year overseas, so it not that much of a trailblazing experience, but still. It definatly won't be for care bears. And the fighting isn't over too fast, unless your a clothie getting hit by some massive burst damage, I've seen clerics a gladiators last a long long time, takes some thinking, but that makes it worth it. |

Competitve arena style pvp or zerg world pvp? Two completely different types of pvp so it depends on which style you prefer. Arena type pvp: Guild Wars World pvp: EVE, Warhammer, Aion, Darkfall? (never played it, just put it here due to others comments). |

Aion probably, new game, good pvp so far (Can't really say, just turned level 10) and the animations are really good, so it helps the flow of it all.

Go try Darkfall. PVP anywhere at any time against anyone, with full loot. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do. |

Based on the reviews I didn't think I'd like it but I'm having a blast playing Warhammer. |

I like world PVP. Most fun for me in the past has been hunting and stalking players who were out and about; and then ganking them. Will Aion be able to accommodate this type of pvp ? G.E.Schaefer |

Age of Conan and The Chronicles of Spellborn, great combat systems. EVE Online - not just PVP. |

AoC has great FFA pvp that is guild/player based (not faction), however the combat is very quick and the battles can be short. TCoS has much more epic and long lasting fights, all classes are hybrids and can heal (some more than others) however when i played there was no reason to pvp. Aion will have theme park pvp, it will have the most players. Very carebear atmosphere in terms of pvp. Zones seperate the pvp and pvp areas and from beta experience it seems the players (for the most part) want nothing to do with pvp unless they think its an easy win, however endgame pvpve is still largely untested in this market, might be a bust or be great. Eve has some pretty good pvp (i hear) if your into spaceship fights and players years ahead of you (no caps on skills i believe) Darkfall is probably most what you are looking for, it has the most hardcore pvp, however i hear that its a half assed game still...gant tell you from experience if thats just forum BS or not though. |

Aion yes it would. However, most of the pvp is zerg (but that can be said for most pvp games). Could also try AoC pvp server. |

Just a personal comment here, I know a lot of people like longer type battles but I'm of the opposite opinion. I love the quick burst battles, not just in pvp but also pve. That's one of the reasons why I really enjoy AoC's combat. |

While EVE is skill based and has no skill cap, there is a cap on skills you can utilize when flying a particular ship. In the end, older players have the advantage to fly more ships but you can fly 1 ship as good as they do quite fast. Also because of wide variety of ships and modules you can fit your ship with, skill points and ship is not what always matter but how you use them are to win the fight. |

From what my friends have told me Guild Wars and Aion are excellent games for PvP content. I myself play WoW and after a while you can tell that the game itself was not tailored towards pvp so my advice would be to avoid it. |
