I have always reacted that the Asian characters always look like they are 14 years old. Like small pop stars or something. 

Think if the movie "The Good, The Bad and Ugly had the main characters looked like 14 instead of 45? Not cool at all.

If you dont see it grandpa then you better take off the rose colored glasses, the characters in this game are as close to a gay fashion show as you can get.  I'm pretty sure your the one thats trolling.

Me and most of my friends are all very heavy MMO players and if there is one thing we can all agree on is this game has the gayest character models yet in MMO.  I've tried to play it a couple times and just cant stomach it.

Whoa somebody didnt' read the post. The OP is actually defending the character models and put "gay" in quotes because OTHER people use that term to insult the asian art style, not the OP.

I was playing with the character creator on a soon to be released game and

I said to myself, wow that's a girl. It wasn't even remotely male. It was crazy.

There have been studies done that say men with more feminine features are found to be more attractive in general. I think western media overembellishes manly features.

Did ya ever take a look at the concept art for FF games pre 7? If the graphics technology was available they all would have had rather effeminate looks to them for most male characters.

Look at traditional asian art and culture? Much of it is rather effeminate to western audiences though they'd probably consider it something else.

Because Westernes have zero sense of style? Only in the West men think bulky and brutish is good looking, lol.

That wasn't exactly the outcome of those studies.

Basically, the studies determined that men mostly prefer very femenine females and women mostly prefer something in the middle of the masculine range.

NO such thing as someone "looking" gay, unless you stereotype individuals. Most Asian MMO characters are "androgynous", not "gay-looking". Just thought I'd state that.

It's not only Korean, Japanese too. They makes male with feminine qualities. Such male with feminine quality is welcome and quite acceptable by women. Take a look at fashion industries, top fashion designers ......they all have feminine qualities.

I think this type of gay looking is not welcome by gamers except your a female or gay. If the game makes the male too pretty than a woman and too young, it is terrible if your going to play this toon everyday. 

Do you like a pretty male character or handsom male character or a real man character?
