The game does have bugs in it still, latency issues in the big newbie towns (crafting towns) & (combat towns). The support towns seem to be the best to level in around the clock, however they don't offer a lot of recipes and that's why the other city's are full with players harvesting. International players are around, so the game is always busy since were all packed onto 1 server. And started to notice more guilds popping up in game. You heard this, but I will say it again, (FE LLC / IS) gave the preorder customers 13 days of extra play, I guess they are compensating for the issues us players are going through. We will see what happens in less than 2 weeks if they squash out most of the bugs. Anyways $50.00 bucks get you game play till October 22 if you started on Sept 9th.. A fair enough deal for me. If your on the fence about this game, then I would say come back in a few months, the way the game is going, it looks to have a strong dedicated base of players and I don't see many, this game sucks on the main forums. Its got a mature audience of gamers and most everyone is happy so far despite the bugs we are going through.

Graphics do not make a game though, besides graphics are not that bad, they are comparable to most MMO's just not the latest and greatest.
Graphics might not make a game but they can break it. Who wants to spend hours a day exploring a world with terrible graphics? They just aren't acceptable for 2009. Not that graphics are FE's only problem. I'm amazed at how kind people are being to this game. I can only think it's because it's by an indie company and people want to like it because of the theme. |

they arent acceptable for 2009 IN YOUR OPINION, your opinion does not make it a fact. I feel sorry for people that think graphics break a game because those that do miss out on some good titles out there whether it's an mmo or not. GAMEPLAY is what will make a game succesfull or a failure not graphics. if we were basing everything on graphics then i gues everyone is arguing over AOC is a failure for no reason, it is the most successfull mmo out there because it has the best graphics.
wrong, aoc = bad because gameplay was horrible, it is not anymore but upon release it was. |

What are you smoking? I compare them to half life 2 in execution. Maybe missing a few lighting techniques here and there, but Halflife is completely static and in small closed in areas. FE is huge, with long draw distance and the capacity for 100's of players in one view. I think if you look at what FE is and does and the whole picture, I think you will see the graphics are very nice for a title like this.

Graphics can break a game you say? Strictly your base opinion and the folks you hang with. I got you nailed as gamer that falls into a crowd called:
All Flash and No Substance games.. I can name several of those that are still around and others that are long gone. Graphics to me don't make the game fun, though generally it does have a impact, but not enough to make me stop playing that game. I will take fun factor over the graphic factor any day. I am sorry you didn't enjoy FE and you have every right to state your opinion on your experience, but you can't speak for everyone. Sorry.. Just stating --- MY --- (and maybe a lot of people wont agree with me) opinion here as a example.. 1. WoW =enjoyed the game for 3 years, but it took a long time for me to get adjusted to the cartoony pastel graphics back in 2004, however the game addiction wasn't its graphics at 1st, it was the simplicity to understand the mmo from the get go and the game itself was fantastic, phat loot, raids and pvp on a massive scale. 2. AoC = Fantastic graphics, probably the best in any mmo, but too much instancing for me, what do you expect, it will be hard to have 100 people in the same area with AoC graphics. 3. Lineage 2 = Great graphics through the years, however too many bots now and a harsh korean grind mmo. 4. Warhammer = Great execution on paper and graphics not as bad either, however too much instancing as well. I did enjoy this game for awhile till I found out end game (city) were instanced as well. They should of went the way of DAoC 2.0, but ohwell. 5. Lotro is the only game I can't complain about really, but it has it flaws to me. They got the graphics and the gameplay. I just don't like the PvP vs PvM, its more of a PvE type game.. And to top it off... I have had enough of Dwarves, Elves and Orcs for the last 5 years. Anyways, I can go on and on, but I think you get my point. Too --- ME --- graphics don't make a game, for --- ME --- its all about the game play. |

I'm amazed at how ignorant people can really be in the twenty first century. This is just a troll. |
