Y'know, I have to say I've never understood this logic, and you're far from the first to express it. MMO's aren't single-player games that offer a linear experience (in terms of a game designed to be played through from beginning to final ending), they're open-ended player-driven experiences that you (theoretically) can continue playing for years. Given that, and assuming that most MMO players subscribe to an MMO because they expect to be playing it long-term, it makes no sense to me to choose a game based on the availability of a discount or some sort of in-game bonus. If you're going to be investing in an MMO that you plan to play for a long time, how does it make sense to choose one based on being able to save a few bucks on price or whether or not you can get a hard copy? Chances are, you'll forget about that few bucks you saved pretty soon, but the choice you made in order to save those bucks is one you'll likely have to live with long term, unless you decide to quit the one you chose and essentially end up paying double to try a different one. |

I usually play two different MMO's and I certainly don't want to play two versions of the same thing.
Just another point of view... |

It saddens me that smaller companies always run into time/funding related issues, even if they have great ideas for new MMORPGs. I mean, if whats written in the posts above me is true, then this game is not ready for release. |

Does anyone care about this MMO for real people? With all the choices out there today this just seems like a bad remake of Anarchy Online. With Aion coming out and CHO, I don't see many people flocking over to this game. |

you only spend AP to raise your INT and Perception stats which in turn will allow max tradeskill, but to max tradeskills themselves you don't use ap it is based off use, the more you craft in a particular discipline the higher the tradeskill becomes.
for instance i am creating a character that is a max crafter but also will be able to use max armor/max dodge/max pistols and Rifle/ one near max mutation skill and about 32 points into athletics or first aid. You get 880 points just level to 45 plus right now there is a confirmed 279 bonus points from simply questing though to get all of the confirmed will take some faction wheeling. Sticking to one fact confirmed is about 220 ap which in turn gets you around 1100 AP to spend |

yes there are people that care, i am for one some of us don't like the cookie cutter mmo's that have been coming out lately, FE is not one of them so for those that are in the same boat as me will give FE a chance. Though FE will be a NICHE game with a small playerbase to start off but it has good potential to follow eve onlines success and slowly gain subs if the devs play their cards right. |
