Actually that's the problem, the only RvR initially is only SC. Only until the beta players start their outcry, about 8 months, before launch did Mythic add in keeps...

Kinda wish Gamesworkshop was more hands on with their exturnal projects, instead of just 'yea looks good', all WAR is is IP exposure Bring on the WARRRRGGHH! |

its a shame that this game is dying, no1 can deny that its dying. in xfire its just one spot higher then aoc.. ive played the trial and although it didnt grab my attention it certainly wasnt a bad game, its just that this game NEEDS a high population on a server in order to be fun. 5 servers left, some already halfdead aswell.. im curious when EA, who closed down Earth&Beyond (which had 40k subs when it got closed), will close WAR down for good. |

None of you understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me! |
After 5 solid days of playing and about 18 hours of playtime I can say that the things that made me quit are absolutely still there. I was as wise as to roll a pure ranged damage dealer this time. This makes things more bearable, but my personal 3 game-killers from last year are alive and raging. - PvE is horrible. It's extremely hard to ever finish a PQ, nothing is more frustrating than entering a chapter and leveling by while not doing any PQ of the chapter even once. And I'm on a high/high server during primetime. When soloing, you don't die because the mobs are a challenge, you die because respawn punches you in the face after about a minute. And when you flee, mobs chase you across half of the map. Honestly, I had forgotten why I hated PvE in WAR last year; Glad the game could update my recollection there. - RvR is a zergfest the higher level you are. I can only laugh abour the tactics you use as a damage dealer, which are in essence: Pump out as much pain as possible on as many enemies as possible, but don't expect to be somewhat efficient in small groups or solo. With a 'storm and AE' tactic you (still) win fights in RvR. - Soloability esp. scenarios are omnipresent and although they have greatly increased the reward-factor for open RvR, scenarios still prove to be a dead solid way to level and never care about social interaction. You see more high level characters without guilds than with guilds. There still is no real public chat and when you strive the lands it feels pretty much like a single player game. So, they may add classes and goodies all they like; the game still doesn't get me involved like other titles did and do, where teamwork and team-success really matter... M |
