The are turning the Whole 0.0->-1. 0 space int rental real-estate,  the gamplan is easy, take over an piece, rent it out, make sure the lessor aggree to help in ops, then use them and take another piece, rent that now you have pretty large force, keep going till you end up with it all, that goes for GoonSwarm, xXDeathXx and all other RA terror Aliances.

Untill CCP clean up this game is DOOMED!

Its like ZP said, they managed to take the last unkown frontier of mankind (the universe) and make it boring.

No game is even close to the quality of Eve.

Boring, tedious for starters, that should get a few hairs to stand up but I am being honest.

Tried it a few times but it just doesn't work for me. No I won't go into it specifically, it has been posted many times, check the posts here. You either like it or you don't. I'm not going to bash it, the concept and game play just arn't for me. For others it is well liked.

Also, it might just be me, but I miss the old space billboards advertising porn. It just made long flights easier...

The first thing I think of is Spread Sheets in Spaaaaaace!   CCP has done an excellent job with Eve.  I'll be interested to see what the new expansion is all about.

I've tried to play this game on 3 seperate occassions over the years and the thing that always makes me cancel is the one thing I always think of....

I dont want to be a ship...no actual character avatar to move around as and I just cant click with the game.

Shame really for me because other than that it seems to be a great game. That 1 thing is a no go though for me.

What would a running avatar bring to a spaceship mmo though? Walking in stations is just going to be a social mechanic.

You're not going to land on planets and fight,explore and conquer (the Dust guys will do that).

Just seems like a waste of resources to me.  I have an avatar already he's that portrait that I designed when i first started playing. That's enough for me.

Even with just the portrait Eve  gives me a massive amount of options to make my character more versitile as any mmo before it. Would I give up that versitility for a walking character? no way.

Oh well, Atleast your not one of those people that say Eve isnt a sandbox because your a ship lol

Honestly, I beatch about the Russians, because its politics. The players REALLY can influence EVE that far as to change the way you have to play from day-to-day.   Never think of EVE as boring, because you can do Inside EV just what you want, I dont need to have an Avatar to become an SPY, or Thief, Rogue terrorist, Mogul of trade, Commercial giant, Pitrate.  You see EVE does not have classes, you make whateve class you want.  If you decide you want to play eve diplomaticaly, you can just sit in a Station (any) and start to play the Corporation/Alliance forums as well as ingame politics.  Soon you can have contacts to other RL people and start to arrange aggreements, wars and so on.  This is the power of eve, that Diplomat can stay ingame for 10 years and never train one singel skill. But can become immencly powerfull in the Social side of the game.

its the only mmorpg ive ever played, and ive played wow, swg, ao, mxo, war, gw, etc. the other titles are not massive, barely multiplayer with no roles to play beyond "raider of dungeon loot".

Sounds crazy to me.

For me EVE is the game I really would like to love. I can't play it due to the space is empty (like space is lol) and the combat is too slow and there is too little to do pve wise and the pvp is really hard to excel in and the skill-system annoyed me (having to log in every few hours to change skill doesnt go well with my casual playing)..

But CCP is doing a great job with free expansions, something that impresses me. They have a single server, another thing that truly impresses me. And the game is very sandboxy. Cudos to CCP. Too bad I can't get into it.
