Just wandering if any of you guys are droping WOW for AION when its released in three weeks?

Not dropping WoW just making time for AION.

Yeah, going to try it. Going to give about a month to CO and to Aion and see if I can replace WoW.

I don't like Aion... it just feels too much of an asian grinder and looks too anime for my taste.  And besides, with Cataclysm on the horizon? Ofc not.

I've been in between MMO's for over a year now. Aion is the first game since Lineage 2 that has compelled me to subscribe.

A lot of people will play Aion and alot of people won't. Can't the Aion fans and WoW zombies live in peace?

I certainly will be playing Aion, and those who gut it out for Wow's Cataclysm will probably enjoy it sometime in 2010.

Tip: Don't pose this question in the aionsource.com forums--you'll get destroyed.

Nah, I'm not going to play Aion. Canceled my pre-order. i dunno, wasn't all that thrilling to me and so freaking linear it was painful.

I'll be playing...and on 09/20 not 09/22!!! Pre order FTW!!!

I dont play WOW and am not going to play Aion. In fact i uninstalled Aion tonight. Going to play LOTRO and see what STO looks like next year.

Aion is the best game i have played.

I will leave WoW because it's is stale and boring. The game is for 4 year old kids with its cartoony graphics and immature community. I hate instance meaningless PvP aswell, arena is crap.

Uhm, why did you play Wow in the first place then? The general rule is "if you don't have fun stop".

But we still have to see if Aions community will be more matured than Wow, that is not something you will know until a while. Wow had originally a rather mature community, that then atracted more and more kids. What makes you think that Aion will be different?

 Wow to Aion I can see the draw.  I don't play any mmo's currenty so I don't have a reason to play Aion. Tried it, was just ok. I rather wait for something a bit more evolved.  

I dont know if AION is the best game Ive played EVERRRR, but for me it beats WoW as Ive played WoW since release, Im not a huge fan of Raiding and Ive played every class Ive found interesting in PvP. Im done with WoW. /bye /tear

And I dont hate people who play WoW, I do however absolutely loathe blind fanbois that know nothing else of the mmorpg genre.

I dont play wow, left it ages ago. Aions beta has already had a great helpful 'lets group' mentality type community.  If the beta is anything to go by the community will be in great shape.

Not sure if you knew, but Aion has been out for a year in the East (Korea, Japan, China). The CB here in NA was only v1.0; the live version will be v1.5 (translated, localized, and much more feature-rich than v1.0). I don't know if you'll find a more polished initial release of an MMO in NA for a long, long time...

As for "evolved", that will only happen when companies feel they can actually make money that way. Until then, they'll try to make money using game concepts/mechanics that are proven profitable.

It would probably go a long way if there were some HQ videos out there of classes other than sorc's pwning in PvP.

There are a ton of HQ videos on youtube that features classes other than sorcs. In fact, I don't even think I have seen a sorc one yet.

Edit. at this point I'm willing to even watch youtube garbage, show me one please, one that's not a dude ganking people at 1/2 health or lower level than him, or while they are fighting 2 monsters, I would like to see some serious 1 on 1.
