I agree, the video quality is ass. I'm not sure why everyone is saying it looks fine, when clearly it's horrible. The intro to the game (before log in) looks ugly as hell, and so does the intro after you make your character. My only guess is that a high def version will be shipped on our discs. |

You're average MMOer is a poor wanna-be hippie who can't afford a $1000 monitor. On a higher end set up the video truly is nasty. Thankfully, you watch it once and you're off to the game which looks fine. |

LoL! You said: "depending where I hook my CPU up..." lol, that sounds like the everyday people I deal with who know nothing about computers but pretend they know more than me. |

If you're downloading it from NcSoft like I did it will take a very long time. I think my top download speed was 108/kbs with 30-40 being lowest. Downloading from FP is the quickest, but I didn't mind since it ran in the background and I didn't even notice it. I would not recommend sitting in front of your screen just to see the intro and sign on screen. You will have a long wait and not much of a payoff.

No, it's ugly... At most, it's equal to High Quality video from youtube. The quality is nowhere near in-game graphics. |

Not really sure what you mean. I hook my computer up to two places, depending on where I want to use it. Either my Bravia or my BenQ. |

Originally posted by matrixvs He never said the game was ugly, only the intro. The intro wasn't even there in CB. I cannot believe I'm defending mrbluray... And I am not calling you stupid, only ur brane. |

Originally posted by Vagrant_Zero I have a $250 monitor, and it still looks ugly. I'm going to play Aion, and have preordered a while ago. There is no reason for people to defend the quality of these videos just because they love Aion. Let's be real, people. The quality is garbage, and if you think it looks good you have a real old video card, are blind, or a huge fanboy that believes anything in Aion is amazing. And, yes... thankfully it's a one time thing. I still believe a HD version should be on the discs. |

He means that CPU does not equal Computer. When you say, "(depending on where I hook my CPU up...)" it sounds like you're changing out motherboards or perhaps have two computers and you move your CPU back and forth between them.
I agree, it's a bit nit-picking, but I believe that is what he meant. Hope that clears up the confusion.

i have same problem. My computer run AION in-game pretty cool, with almost high settings. But cant see the intro movies in conditions. I just hit "esc" and start playing. Lets see if in OB still do the same.

Ack! I just checked the size of the intro video. It's a 64MB Bink Video. No wonder it sucks. It's practically YOUTUBE. :D |

For some reason, intro vids are hardly EVER sharp quality. In all the MMORPG's, RPG's and FPS that i've played, the intro video was always a little fuzzy lookin. And I've seen ALOT of intro videos.
