If you count FPSMMo's go check out Huxley, active-Turnbased strat PVP- Atlantica Online has pvp compeition Free Leauge up the Wazooh. Aion once it comes out. Darkfall I haven't tried but hey if its UO in 3d then by all means I feel sorry for you if you can't handle it.
People bitch and moan about unforgiving games, lately everythings really fricken over simplified for you.
If you want an old as challenge go back and check out the old methods of Rallos Zek on EQ1 Freezone killing No instance crap-sept raid zones Loot of all cash, and 2 non bagged items
all the whiners made pvp crap over the past 10 years

Best PVP...
If you can get around the fact that a few of the devs are ignorant morons then I would suggest WWIIOL for the PURE PVP aspect... but dont expect realism.
If you can deal with a unstable client for now until the new version comes out, Roma Victor, and its actually one of the cheapest.
Then there is of course DarkFall, and Mortal Online, and Aion. But bad reviews of DF has pushed many away.. and I fear that Aion and Mortal will drive that game into a very niche world. So much crap, so little quality. |

Best PvP is in Guild Wars and EVE. Obviously those are polar opposites in terms of how they play. Guild Wars is hop on, have fun, hop off. In EVE you can spend hours looking for a fight, but the fights are much more awesome when you get to it. ------------------------- |

Originally posted by VirDan Seconded... That was "hardcore"... that was a good, fun PvP. Hopefully Aion takes a chapter from their book... so long it's not Ubisoft's customer support chapter. EvE from what I can tell is pretty good, just beyond my level of involvement. Guild Wars is fine if you can put up with them changing the rules of all their skills every week because someone figured out a viable build for themselves, or because someone posted the next Flavor of the Month and everyone's using/exploiting the functions. Darkfall by far best pvp game out there! Second for me is AC Drktide (early days) UO dont count for me its just to carebear and to much fluff. This offcorse is fantasy free for all full loot pvp game you cant comepare it with EVE its a totally different game in many ways.
Themepark games with pvp are not realy pvp games they have no risk at all there just fun to play for casuals and careebars who know they dont lose anything.

Even with the lag Shadowbane PvP was the most fun I have had in ANY mmorpg. |

No other "PvP" game has compared, imo.
I played just after release and up until just before SB ended and of all the hundreds of banes i attended, only a handful were affected by lag. Your own experience may have varied. |

When SB was released it had some bad problems, but after... a month...? it worked out into a functional game. Fear server FTW!
