Never try to teach a pig to sing,it wastes your time and annoys the pig. |

Aion. Hated GW. Don't see that changing with GW2. |

Aion is going to require more time invested. Guild Wars has a far far far more complex pvp system with many different ways to customize your character. Aion has quests and looks far more prettier. If your playing for competition more then you are playing to excape into a fantasy and have nothing more exciting to do with your time. Guild Wars will be for you. If you enjoy the atmospher and want to be immersed into the game world Aion will be the game for you. |

Originally posted by tbox I'm going to call you out on that as Guild Wars is one heck of a beautiful game with an amazing soundtrack...you don't get much more immersive than that.
Just looking at Aion's terrain textures is enough to make me barf. Why oh why did they have to go and spoil it like that? |

Aion is going to be my main game but I also be playing Guild Wars 2 when it comes out. Those 2 games should be able to hold be for a while. AMD FX-4100 Zambezi (OC at 4.3GHZ ATM) |

Why is everybody so confident in GW 2? There is very little info about game mechanics. Every time I hear new info about GW 2 it just sounds more and more like a WoW clone. I am disappointed GW 2 is moving away from the gameplay of GW 1. Wish they just kept making expansions for GW 1. |

QFT One of my biggest disappointments when I played the Aion beta was the terrain and textures. It was such a contrast to the great character models they have. |

They have already said that whilst they will reduce the number of skills to as to increase balance, they will be keeping the combat system. Jeremy Soule is still doing the soundtrack, which sounds very Guild Wars 1-esque. The art style is realistic like Guild Wars, but bigger and more dramatic as you'll see in the trailer and certainly very beautiful graphically. ArenaNet have stated that there won't be a SINGLE quest in the game, but that they will use a help-as-you-wish Events system (which I think sounds awesome by the way and clearly means they aren't aiming for WoW 2). They will also still be making use of instancing for important storyline shifts etc.
That sounds just like Guild Wars to me, except a more mature version... |

Its really impossible to tell from what you just described. I liked the excessive number of skills. Making a skill template was kind of like building a magic deck. |

Well from what we know the world is gonna be huge and not heavily instanced like the First. There are gonna be many playable races that were seen in the original. You can JUMP!. And from what I've heard its complex character builds are returning. So basically all the gripes that people had are essentially gone. Its a full blown mmo this time around. |
