A: Yes.  Training mobs helps train members of your own faction by training them to react to unexpected situations.

 

Q: Help!  I've just been killed using an exploit!  What should I do?

A: Use the same exploit on others.

 

Q: Isn't using exploits cheating?

A:  No.   The only thing that matters is what you can do and what you can't do.

 

Q: Should I cry about being killed on forums

A: No.  That makes you a "newb"

 

Q: Should I do silly emotes like /facepalm?

A: No. That makes you a "newb".

Or I could just leave the game for the gankers and go somewhere where this type of behavior is not supported.

When there is no one except the gankers left to feed on each other, even they will get frustrated and quit.

Something a lot of people seem to have forgotten. Games with a good community live far longer than games with poor communities. The behaviors listed above make for a very poor community and will thus drive out all but the most hardcore players.

This has nothing to do with the developers or the quality of the game. This is a problem perpetuated by the playerbase upon itself, and only the playerbase can correct it.

Made me laugh, and I agree with all of it apart from the exploits part. I'd report the exploit, and I suppose I'd use it myself if others are using it on me (I know, I know!) untill it's fixed.

However I won't camp a player and stop him from playing the game for no reason. If I see an enemy, yeah kill him and move on. See him again later? Try to pull it off (killing him) again!. But I don't sit there waiting for him and camping him and intentionally going for the same player, trying to make him log off. Unless ofcourse, he's done the same to me. Mess with me I'll give you all I can. :D

@ Adam:  I'm pleased to see some people still have a sense of honor while playing pvp based mmo's

You have the right attitude and spirit.  I remember playing WAR and wandering through Tier 4 as a swordmaster and

stumbling upon a mage that was soloing, I got the thrill of killing him once, and then I moved on.  I didn't camp him, or try to

follow him around the zone to piss him off ya know?  It's a sweet rush when you meet an enemy in the middle of no mans zone and get to duel. 

Believe it or not, I've even seen honor in EVE online, I watched my brother played trial for a few weeks, he got ganked right outside this warp thingy, and the pirate guy felt bad and gave him some reconsiliation items and said sorry for blowing up yer ship after he spilled a bucket of QQ. lol...

If everyone had this mentality of pvp, communities would thrive and actually have "sportsmanship" in the hunt of the kill, rather than those communities evolving out of control and shape the game for the worse.

In truth; if I just wanted to get killed a lot, and get really wound up the point of actually loosing it. I'd just go and play on the private servers. At least that way it costs me nothing to get pissed off.

Nothing gives me more game pleasure then giving a griefer some of his own medicine.

I will gank the griefer until I looted enough tears from him (a bucket full usually) or until he ragequits.

That`s why I play PVP games and I`m glad Aion gives an opportunity for ganking/griefing lowbies.

Otherwise i`d have to pass on this game.

for the 6 months that WAR existed ( on a pure pvp  server)  I found enemies that had good sportsmanship.  So, yes, there are people who lose as a good sport.  And when you see these people throughout the week , you still engage and fight, because on different days, different outcomes will happen, and you always want to kill the guy that got you yesterday.

Even in ffxi ballista, I played for 6 years, there was sportsmanship.  How you think that community still exists to this day?

I'm not gonna preach these people are the masses, because they are not.  Just look at the pvp forums boards in your game, and you can see the flames burning.
