yeah  trust me so little info has really been given out  aside from the trailer and the walk through...all we know is that This will be a story driven MMO that will have all the normal features of an online Game....

But i need to know what races we can play. this should be something the dev team has finalized by now. This is star wars. Humans are just a single race among hundreds if not thousands of intelligent races....SWG gave us plenty of races....but this game takes place in a universe that is expanded due to an on going War. The KOTOR lore is vast...give us something more then Humans....

(i read somewhere that they have said something about playable races, if this is true could someone post them??!?!?!?)

As of yet, Humans are the only truly confirmed race.

No info on races that Im aware of. No info on alot of things. Feel free to ask anytime you have a question though. But, Thats probably the answer you'll be getting for a while. Wait and see for now.

Hope they introduce alot of playable races and have great customization of those races so ppl dont look like cookie cutter toons.

Given Bioware's track record with Kotor and Mass Effect, I think it's almost guaranteed that other species will not be playable. For a start, it would mean that start-to-finish voice tracks would have to be created for each player race option (plus their female variant).

I want to play a female Twi'lek dancer.... oh wait, is that not one of the options!! Dammit...

Well, considering you consider the Dev's liars and won't trust anything they say, then NO, there is no indication. 

The only "indication" of other playable races is the outright statement: "Yes, there will be other playable races besides humans." 

But again, for you, that doesn't count, does it?

Yup, as in the KOTOR games the norm for Sith characters ( including npc's and sith imperial troops) human was the norm as the Sith war machine was xenophobic. Actually you could even see this mind set in the movies.

 As for the Jedi Knight side of things it should be culturally diverse but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I agree, he was a 'red shirt'... but reading this says nothing about Sith being only human and the in fact the original Sith were not Human at all.  So I believe you will have the will be able to have non-human Sith Warriors and it will conform to lore.

Hmm, never thought about the voices of other species being needed. If they do, hopefully they can use more clever accents than GL..God love him.

Would you rather hear the actual language being spoken and reading the subtitles, or would you rather it all be in the same language(english, french, ect..) with strong accents? I think id rather read the subtitles...but it's hard to say without experiencing both. Honestly though voices are cool, not a big deal either way for me. Good for the KOTOR only fans making their way to the MMO scene i guess.

In a couple of bioware games, a few of the characters really got on my nerves. Thats a good thing though. Good writing if they can draw any emotion at all from me via NPC's. One game i replayed just to kill one of my group members I grew to hate, because it gave you the choice to save em or kill/let them die when you first met them. Turned out no matter what you picked they still ended up in your group. I was kinda pissed.

 The CEO of EA said this will be a microtransaction game, and the response was don't believe it just yet, they're gauging the reaction. It's not official until bioware officially announces the details. Which i think is good advice. Until it's officially revealed with details, or 3rd parties have reported playing other species, it's subject to change. For all we know other races might be content that needs to be purchased to be unlocked. So you both could be wrong and right. No need to argue just to argue. There are no details. There is no truth known by anyone who can talk about it yet. And other species is far down on the important info list.

Oh I know that. I'm just referring to the words of Daniel AND Sean at GamesCom (both BioWare Austin employees). When I asked them about playable races, their answer was each time: "There will be other playable races, not just humans." 

Again, the Dev's could be lying or scheming. Take it as it is. A direct, clear statement from two people involved in creating the game.
