This reminds me of the way people cry about blackops being useless... when I made billions with them.
My biggest pet peeve in eve is people that cry about ships not doing what THEY think they should do... instead of looking at a ship's unique abilities and figuring out what the ship CAN do.
A T3 cruiser with an interdiction nullifier and a cov ops fit can pretty much go anywhere in the game with a decent pilot (while simultaneously fitting a probe launcher, decent tank, and reasonable DPS).  They are expensive, true.  But  they can do things no other ship in game can do.
Anyway, keep on crying about how much they suck.  Those of us that actually fly them know better.

Here was can see a 12-strong bomber gang with some recon support, a HIC and a dictor (17 total) killing a lousy 90 battleships and battlecruisers. Fully 3 bombers were lost in this action, surely proving beyond all further dispute that the class is now utterly worthless.
I can only apologise to anyone who was mislead by my foolish and uninformed pro-bomber posts above.

i used mine in empire to catch wartarget haulers.

Which they can still do.

In fact they can do it better now because their fittings were improved.

Manticore, Hauler ganker:

3x Arbalest Seige Launcher, Light Ion Blaster II, Covops Cloak

Catalyzed Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters, Warp Disruptor II, Stasis Webifier II, PWNAGE

2x Ballistic Control System II

2x CCC rigs

Fits with CPU and Grid to spare, even with a MWD, unlike the old comedy terribad Manticore. If you have laser skills, use a Medium Pulse II + Scorch (takes a 3% CPU implant)

532 DPS at 1Km, 498 at range. Overload launchers to hit ~600 raw DPS. An Iteron V will take about 65% of that with the target painter applied. An untanked Ity V will die to the second torp volley, with the turret being pretty much there for pod killing. I dunno how much better you could want it.

Pretty much the only thing that the old bombers could do that the new ones can't is hang off 180Km from the fight and killmail-whore or, as previously mentioned, kill AFK frigates.

well mine has 2 PWNDs and missile rigs and i leave my bomb launcher on it when i flit in from nullsec, but yes.
