Depends on how you see it as he is rarely in the studio. He even mentioned in an article that he's usually not there during baseball season. Hes more of an investor although he stated he makes sure his idea's get across.

I'd say having a major investor who is  a gamer and MMO player is a pretty big plus. It's the investors who ultimately make the decisions, after all.

Salvatore did not make or was the inspiration of either Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale however he was the creator of the only good natured creature of a whole race of evil creatures and they were evil by lore but Salvatore threw all that out the window to make a buck on his fabulous books.

I feal an epic disaster coming.  This can be nothing but vaporware, not one of these guys ahs any SW experience at all.  You don't just get a bunch of money and go out and make an MMO.  You need people who know how to develope SW or you aren't going to produce anything worth playing.

38 is Schilling's baseball jersey number.  So it makes sense.  Makes more sense than Cryptic, or Blizzard, or Bioware... but, whatever.

I don't really care, just pointing out that it's not just some random thing they came up with.  Also since when does a company having a bad name = bad product?

3. You name your new gaming studio 38 and add studios at the end because...   well it's a studio, duh.

From what there interviews have said they hired tsome of the top people in the MMO industry for there game.  I have no idea who these people are but they are listed on there web page.  If anyone knows any of those names can ya tell us what games they have worked on in the past?

Might be interesting, though I have my doubts on Schilling's capability as a developer. McFarlane couldn't pull a decent storyline out of his ... but he would be decent for art director.
