Ok the info I have seen so far on new expansion copies aspects from a few other mmos I am playing. As for their new leveling scale they are adding on the side (warhammer type scale) along with the 5 extra levels that are not worth it really. Looks like the devs are more interested in taking bits and pieces from other mmos as they are lost for new real ideas. Also making the old world flyable is not gonna excite alot of people that have levelled past those zones. I can't really see anything that excites me at all with the next expansion and I have been playing wow nonstop for 4 years. |

Might be interesting to see the new landscape. I just hope they don't focus as much on the raiding. Not sure how I feel about Tauren paladins. |

This expansion is great, for players like myself who have left wow due to the lack of interest in raiding night and day. Now I can come back and see a new world, while leveling in new areas and having fun once again. Flying in the old lands is awesome. I am far from a giant fan of wow, though playing the game (not in a hardcore environment) is very fun to me. Also to accuse WoW of taking game ideas from Warhammer is just funny. In many ways WAR was a clone to WoW. I think blizz has every right to borrow some things from them. Though I don't believe WAR was the one to pioneer these features either. For once blizz is paying attention to those who have left, or those who do enjoy playing the game, not the raid. To me, and some friends this is a welcome change. They gained a few subs from us. |

Yeah lol but the expansion has some more blatant copying in it.

These days everything is copied from something. If they take a group of ideas and make it work well and make it fun, who cares? Just enjoy the game or leave it be and find something that does entertain you. |

I play wow only because friends of mine play, if they all left then I would be gone tomorrow. As for the expansion I'll just wait and see on more news before I decide to blow more money. |

Could you be more specific about what is being blatantly copied?
There are many similar ideas and mechanics in today's MMOs so it's really hard to associate them with one true pioneer. Blizzard has been known for refining good ideas and it doesn't bother me that they made use of some generic and common solution. What's next? You'll tell us they stole the idea of having levels and classes in RPG? |

Blizzard has been doing this to some extent for years. It wasn't until WoW that they stopped even trying to put their own spin on it and just unabashedly stole things from other games and put it on a pedestal as their own now that they have a slavering band of fanboys stupid enough to accept anything they say as truth. Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts. EAT ME MMORPG.com! |

MMOs should get with the program. Real time combat pl0x. "IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one." |

I find it both funny and incredibly awesome that Blizzard can take features from other games and do it way better than them. I wish they'd copy the Public Quest idea from Warhammer. The concept is cool but it kinda sucks in WAR. Blizz would make it kick azz. And Cataclysm has me in a nerd frenzy, I can't wait. |

Not this again, copy things from other games dosent really exist, how many ways do you think you can do certain things? How many movies about WW2 have been made? was the first one the best? doubt it=P You cant really say they are copying anything, its not like its only 1 person that can come up with the same idea, maybe blizzard had alot of their ideas just laying around and choose to implement things in a diffrent order. Games need to change and evolve to be fun even if its something another game has done already, not like companys have followed that stupid oppinion of yours ever before, since there are like 1 million games of every genre with about the same content but still diffrent. I would even put money on Blizzard making their so called copied functions better then what others have done. And i dont even play WoW anymore so you dont have to start the whine that i would be some WoW fanboy, just face the facts of the game industry. Playing: CO, C&C and WoW. |

I think the more Blizzard copies and refines the better. We need to get rid of these terrible mmos with one or two good features. WoW took pvp leveling from WAR and improved on that games sieging. Now just grab the ToK and we can close down WAR. We need blizzard to copy all the good shit since it's one of the only good mmos out. that isnt more than 5 years old. Copy and refine, give us WoW players everything and kill the weak. sounds good. Playing: WoW, EvE Interested in: TOR, ER, GW2, WoD, Dust514 |

They need to come up with something unique like the new aion mmo has done with their flight system or say like age of conan did with their combat system. |

Nah we destroyed AoC and Blizzard will copy anything Aion has that's interesting, same with TOR when it releases. Blizzard is good at giving its players exactly what they want. I don't care about innovation I just want a fun game to play. If my fun comes from stolen mechanics then so be it. Playing: WoW, EvE Interested in: TOR, ER, GW2, WoD, Dust514 |

Aion's flight system is not unique. They stole it from Perfect World. Ooooooh, look at that, Aion stole one of its main features from another MMO. See, everyone does it but only Blizzard gets blamed for it. |

every atom of wow is directly stolen from the last 40 or so years of pop culture, end of story, no need to debate its pure fact. |

Before WoW, it was all grind. However that was not always a bad thing either. But please, enlighten us with all the new features WoW brought to the mmorpg genre.
