I will not be participating in either mmo. I feel there are better mmos ahead so for the time being I am wating for games like Torchlight, Borderlands ,Dragon Age: Origins and Left 4 Dead 2. If you aren't playing these mmos then what games are you playing or waiting for ? |

MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |

AION is a solid MMO. I wager it will do very well ...you just have to connect with the inner Korean in you. Champions is fun, just not for me (Need solid PvP). Honestly, If I always looked for 'something better, just around the bend' I'd never get to play anything |

I have been enjoying AoC since I went back. AoC has come a long way since launch. I am a fairly casul AoC player (mostly pvp mini games and sieges atm). I have also been playing some WoW with friends as well. Wow's 3.2 patch has made the game more interesting.
I am still going to try out the production Aion. Hopefully, the updates will fix the issues that I had with closed beta. |

Meh a game is just a game. I'll be playing Aion, but I'm also going to pick up Section 8. If you don't want to pick up an MMO, but want something with multi-player then S8 is pretty good so far. That is, of course, if you like futuristic games. I'm still not completely confident in the abilities of these anticipated single-player games coming along. The industry at large has been sorely burned over the past year by games that just didn't deliver. I know people liked Fallout 3, but to be completely honest I found it stale and far too linear. Before the downloadable content when you finished the main story the ending was the same - you die. On top of that there was no way at all to avoid it. Plus the VATs system was extremely convoluded and actually made combat drag on way too long. The only time I used it was to very quickly spam grenades. Shooting with it actually became a liability. Plus all of the side stories were rather limited. I continually had the sensation that if they had just gone a little farther with everything it would have been great. Dragon Age looks promising....but also is months away. The same goes for the rest of the anticipated list. One anticipated game I remember seeing is slated for a December 31 release...so it will literally come out at the end of the year. |

Fallen Earth right now, also beta testing quite a few other games. I don't know why there's like no hype around for fallen earth, the games great and something different, isnt that what everyone here complaints about? |

Based off the tread title I was expecting something different... like what are you playing to past the time until they came out. Until the headstart of champions, I'm not really playing anything.. really not that far away. ![]() |

I won't be playing either game live, purely on the basis that I don't believe game companies should be rewarded for selling Beta tests to potential customers. Also the reason I won't be playing Fallen Earth.
I am playing Atlantica and Rune of Magic at the moment, to pass the time. I will see how future games market themselves and decide based on their actions whether I want to involve myself with those companies. Companies that are more about the money and how they can con that little bit extra out of their fans don't strike me as people I want to become engaged with for the moderately long term that MMORPGs usually demand. |

Death Knights of Krynn with a smattering of CoX and Super Mario Galaxy. After DKoK is DQoK and then a run through the Baldur's gate series I think. ( ' : Re-subscribing to City of Heroes? Anyway, I assume your comment about selling beta tests refers to providing beta access to pre-order customers (which costs nothing extra, by the way). I don't see this changing any time in the near future. Every mainstream MMO game provides this and has for years. Also both Champions Online and Aion had ample opportunities for people to get into their beta tests without having to pre-order. /shrug "There is as yet insufficient data for a meaningful answer." |

I'm still on the fence with Champions, though I know I'm not touching Aion. I had high hopes with Fallen Earth but the game has derailed so much from the original concept I doubt I'll play that either. Guess I'm stuck playing DDO. DnD rules ftw. |

My ultimate goal is to get to FFXIV, Dust 514, and World of Darkness. I will play Aion, Mortal Online, Elemental: War of Magic, Demon's Souls, Killzone 2, CoD: Modern Warfare 2, PoxNora, MAG, Dragon Age, Killzone 2, and a slew of single player PS3 games rented through gamefly. CO is a shallow joke just like WoW has become. MMORPG's are for the most part a joke these days, but a few will come through and be worthwhile. There are a lot of great games out there though.

For pve I play LotRO and for pvp I occasionally visit GW for RA. I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem. |

Hmm, are you referring to Aion? That game has actually been out for over a year in Korea--the version going live in NA/EU is actually v1.5. The only changes for the NA/EU version from the Korean version is for translation/localization purposes, so it is might be the least like a beta for any mmo released in the past few years. Edit: While waiting for Aion I am still considering what to play. :( They can adjust a game all day, but they can't help the issue between the keyboard and the chair. |
