I dont see the problem or why thisis differnt than any other MMO release... I think this forum give a pretty good picture of the Pros and Cons of CO! If WoW = The Beatles |

My initial reaction to CO after reading these forums was that the game would suck donkeys, but I went ahead and tried it out this weekend anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! I'm enjoying the game quite a bit. I don't think I will end up playing it for years, but I'm seriously considering buying it now. Current: None |

True, it's a good short term game. |

really didn't like it.. I didn't find it any more "fast paced" and "action" orientated than any other mmo |

i have been the the forums here long enough to know half of what people here do is troll or just spew there point of view and try to make every one follow there way of thinking and if you are not on there side they will just insult you if you can't make up your own mind about any game mmo fps rts what ever your style and you just follow the crowd you are a weak minded fool and i hope i never group with you in any game or every see you in real life this world is full of brain dead zombies just look at how popular the "so you think you can <what ever>" trash tv shows and now that gaming is one of the top money making entertainment industry they will try to flood the market with crap game and people will defend them just cause they are the flavor of the month i played this game i like this game and really don't care what anyone has to say about this game, i just hope the bean counters in this game don't pull a NGE and totally change the game to grab the bigger share of that market pie. |

I can see it being fun for a few months, but definitely not worth a lifetime sub. That's especially true while we don't know how far they're going to take microtransactions. In my opinion, it doesn't match Aion's production values (for the same sub cost). And Aion seems to run better on equivalent systems, as long as GameGuard doesn't crash something important or disable your anti-virus. CO does have a different flavor if you want a break from the traditional MMO. I think they need to make sure that CO isn't too grindy. That's one thing that will set it apart from Aion (which is grindy). The raise in exp/level and respec costs isn't encouraging in this respect. Not really worth a $15/month sub unless you're a fan of the genre, but the discounted 6-month sub is pretty appealing if you're not interested in the current alternatives. Other alternatives will be released later in 2010. |

Kinda of funny its easily worth a life time sub. Aion on the other had is worthless to me. I would actually play a decent Pvp like Warhammer online that has substance in something other then pvp. If Aion was FtP like Alantica Online then I might think about downloading it when I have some downtime. |

One reason I've stayed on these forums is because of its diversity, whereas usually on forums like the CO forums you have a great deal of people that are on that site because they are overly opinionated (most likely optimisticly) about the game. I have a large number of posts on the CO forums, both on the regular forums and the beta forums (now they merged though) but when it came time for me to write my review, I posted it here.
The reason I did this is because I wanted to put my experiences out to a number of people that are still on the fence about this game. I've been on these forums a while, and there are a vast number of posters that make up the notorious MMORPG.com trolling team, but if you can weed through the mundane, incomprehensible drivel written by those few, you can find a bustling and passionate community -- and those are the players I try to focus on when I five my thoughts on games such as CO.

Actually warhammer did have very good PvP, its a vast misconception on these forums that the average MMO can't muster up enough effort to put out any gameplay of meaning in an overpopulated dross of monotonous gameplay, but the fact of the matter is simply that warhammers gameplay is much better then most impudent posters give it credit for. |

Not at T4 it didn't. Up until then I'll agree PvP in Warhammer is a lot of fun and done pretty well. T4 least in the first six months of that game was an absolute cluster fuck. The biggest problem with wh outside of that was the PvE was terrible which isn't a problem with Aion ,least in my opinion, so to an extent his opinion is rather lol. That and the fact they added way too many goddamned servers. Although it is unfair to infer Warhammer PvP is bad across the board because at earlier tiers Warhammer PvP is rather fun. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

With city raids its far from a Cluster..... T4 is probable some of the best. I even got to attack Altdorf. PvE was excellent. It had so much warhammer history it was uncanny. Aion on the other hand was pretty poor. No history what-so-ever. |

Oh you guys actually pulled it off? Couldn't say how those go because every time someone got close on our server the goddamn server crashed and the PvE was rather weak especially the dungeons. Not to mention the amount of cc in T4 just gets to be absolutely ridiculous. Glad you liked it but both CO and Aion have better PvE than that game did as do may other games that came out before it. The only interesting concept they had was the public quests format but that ended up going to hell because they added so many servers so it became hard to find groups for it and most wouldn't even bother with PvE because frankly ti was lackluster and you could level so much faster by doing scenarios. Anyways, not trying to derail the thread just saw those tidbits and felt I had to jump in hehe As to CO I thought it was an alright game. Might check it out eventually after its been out for a bit. I wasn't real impressed but it certainly isn't a bad game by any means. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. I am going to agree with wicked jelly. T4 is an acquired taste, everything leading up to it I found much more enjoyable... that was me personally, but I still stand by the fact the PvP was enjoyable.. moreso then some other games I have played. |

LOL then you really haven't played in a long long long time. Either that or you listen to the haters here on MMO. Teir 4 was only empty because no one was on it. PQ were done wrong and still are becuase they needed to make it a big event. They added so many servers because so many people were playing but there wasn't enough RvR to have everyone playing. Scenerio's shouldn't of took center stage and now its not. Most wouldn't bother with PvE because you could get more exp in scenarios not because it was lackluster. Only the haters say that because it had so much history for Warhammer. If you think Aion has better PvE then I just have to laugh because you don't know jack. =)
Back to CO. Just talked the wife into getting the lifesub for both of us. Yep its that good of a game. Wished they would of done it for CoX. Would of saved me a ton of money. =) |

Glad you like the game enough for a lifetime sub, I've already gone through just about the entirety of the content and it hasn't launched yet... I think I'll wait a little while before I make a decision on whether I should buy it or not. |
