(doesn't cause any balancing issues that way) Novel idea, going back to the old world sounds like a good plan, no reason to keep expanding ever outward. Jeez, you fans are so sensitive when someone pokes a little fun. Enjoy your day in the sun. Edit: Another prediction, targeted for release around Nov 2010? They probably won't really say, not their style.
That's alright because I can say.
Targeted Release: Right as TOR comes out. I think the 'targeted release' theory is a bit cynical, and assumes Blizzard actually worries about other games. MMORPGs get released very often, I guess some fans feel like Blizzard is out to get them when they release an expansion pack, but expansion packs get released when they're ready and they're released to make money. Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting... |

Your chararacter gains experience and levels up, defining a role playing game. |

Same old same old. Its nice they update game a bit but its still same. played WoW 4 year and im full of it already. no new classes:/ only mixing skills/classes |
|
Whats the interesting is this "Every zones will be revamped with new quests, items, and art. The old world will be a brand new experience and you won't have to deal with the annoying agility/spirit quest rewards anymore." * The Path of the Titans will let players follow a path (not restricted to classes), this is a new talent system with new skills and passive abilities.
Eveyrthing on the panel when they wer tlaking was about this expansion will be beigger and better then ever. |

Sorry, I've seen the Blizzard hype engine before and not falling for it again. No matter how much they talk about actually putting resources into PvP or casual content, it's all just to keep luring in the larger market of players so Kaplan and Chilton can subsidize the content for their precious minority population of raiders. There are other options for MMORPGs coming out, and it's about time WoW got some real competition. |

Originally posted by arctarus IMO they should have expanded it to orcs as well. Trolls kind of suck, not gonna lie. I've had a troll rogue for 4 years. Its just meh. They dance cool and have chill voice emotes but thats about it.
ANYWAYS, arctarus did you ever play on balnazzar? "The WoW forums are and have always been, the true heartbeat of the game. Having said that... RIP wow. You had a good run." - MAnalog 10/13/10 So WoW is dead? |

It is interesting to see the EVE folks complaining about DUST being CCP's NGE compared to the complaints about Cataclysm basically being Blizzard's SOGE. Nothing in this expansion deals with the reason so many people leave WoW. Yet at the same time, it caters to those that stay with it day in and day out. |

EDIT - On a side note Noracon, I do not forsee that as entirely true. You will see 85% playing Worgen but only 5% playing Goblin. Goblin is f*****g lame, but who wouldn't want to try a shapeshifting worgen as a player character. The cool factor is Alliance 1 million to Horde -shit.
Rainbow panda avatar makes you the automatic loser again. I didnt think it was so easy to fail as a smartass.

I'm gonna help you out Jive pay attention. Scroll to the top of the screen and locate "Your Profile". Click on that and look on the right hand side. Should be something that looks like this. X Delete your MMORPG.com account Click on that and you're all set.
Now for me to be cool like you.

Yeah, wow is doing terrible right now. Nobody wants to play it. Thats' why I'm sitting in a queue on a freakin tuesday night to get into my medium population server. That's why Wintergrasp has a queue almost every 2.5 hours with 200 people waiting to fight. That's why Blizzard had to add more servers to handle " cannot launch more instances at this time" because tons of players are running dungeons. Every indication... WG, Instances, and even the overall server is PACKED with players. And I am on Fenris, which is a very medium population server. Not bad for a 5 year old game. |

Hopefully, so we are freed from those pesky guys publishing on the Wow forums to recruit for a Korean loreless copycat. But helas, as seen before it will only last a few weeks. Blizzard will be in real trouble when Cat will launch Alandora. Indeed I never saw queing lines that long in full summer, so expect the new expansion as WOW2 attract all players as fly to shit. If you thought you can complain of the present down time due to "too many instances launched", what will it be with CAT as WOW2? Edit: btw; the massively played Heroics these days, show ONE thing: the VAST majority of players WANTS a casual friendly game with a rather easy pace and "play 30 minutes" in the time THEY decide. So it shows Blizzard was right all along by also catering for its casual p(l)aying public. As long as they also include the hard modes, everybody happy.
Hard mode instances dont cure anything .Whats needed is hard mode servers for people who want to have a bit more challenge from the game . The Changes that Blizzard brought in to make the game easier proberbly wont be reversed . So untill that happens its a revamp that tinkers around a bit but does nt offer much insentive to people who are unhappy with the current state of the game . If it truely was WOW 2 the changes would be a more extensive . Most sequals tend to offer improved graphics . The Cataclysm does nt . The thing thats most clear about the Cataclysm is that people that still enjoy the game are going to think its the best thing ever . If they dont then they see it as Blizzard messing around with the cosmetics rather than the real issues . |
