Some new highlights:
 

• Great Wall is the biggest part of the landscape before entering Khitai proper, and a 'compass' for players roaming the border-free zones before the Land of the Tiger itself. Seems that some of the locations mentioned in the trailer are on the way to the Land itself, and are apparently also explorable before setting foot in Khitai.
• Two new mounts are not only raised from the cub to the beast, but it's up to player to select which type of creature they become. Both pets can be obtained during a special ceremony (a ritual, even), which involves unarmed combat against one of the beasts' mothers (She-wolf/Tigress)
• Cubs can be either pit against enemies to become deadly combat partners or raised as mounts to give player new, unique riding abilities - for instance, stealth riding seems to be a possibility with the Tiger.
• Advancement past 80 is possible via alternate advancement points. Additional feat trees for all characters seems to be adequate description of the new system, with abilities being developed with points obtained in course of exploration/questing in Khitai.

Pretty awesome that you can finally ride hidden on a mount now. Getting past 80 possible now, another awesome new addition. Mounts can be raised, pretty cool new additions to the game.

I do like the choice between choosing the new wolf and tiger to be either a pet that can fight for you, or a mount with special abilities.

Cool stuff coming thru. Unfortunately i barely play now except for raiding. Hope they put ALOT of end game stuff in or im out.

 Nice post, i hope the wolf mount adds somthing cool because stealth riding is gonna be insane and most people will probably go for it. i think they have really added what the community has been asking for and im looking forward to playing it.

If I play the xpac my ranger will go for the animal as a pet I think. extra dps over some fancy riding mount :P

Umm yeah and I got banned the next day it did seem to be fixed tho, but been kinda busy so will check once I get back from spain in about 2 weeks or so :)

Same here. I like the combat pet better than the mount. I will go wolf for my DT & Tiger for my PoM.

It's going to have to be a big wolf for a DT ;). I wish they had a bear too for my shammy. I will definitely have to try out both mounts to see which I prefer but the tiger definitely seems cool. I'm really curious about the new skills progression and can't wait to see try it out.

So the game is moving away from Conan lore into Warcraft lore huh?   Can someone point out to me where anyone in Conan lore rode tigers or wolves?    ^_^

Funcom destroyed what should have been a great MMORPG.   OMG the land of Hyboria was rich with lore and places to explore and adventure in and what were we given?   It sure isn't the land that Conan roamed in his travels.

The Wolf and Tiger in AOC:ROGS can be kept as combat pets intead of mounts too! Now that is interesting!

I thought they tried to stay much closer to the books than AoC?  Well, at least when the game first released.

But either way, you always have to change things for it to become a mmorpg.

From now on, every mmo that i see now that has a Tiger/ Wolf,   tigress wolf,  or wolf like tiger mount or any four legged rainbow colored beast that resembles one of the two animals, i shall call it a  wow clone.

IMHO, you have to expand on the lore for most MMO games. In a story, you have one set of characters that are the focus. In a MMO, everyone needs to be able to be the hero. There needs to be more variety in a MMO than most stories allow for.

err actualy most of it is based of tower of the elephant .wolves an tigers are difrent than the used/new mount salesmen in wow .you have to jump threw some hoops for just the chance to  capture one ,raise it train it an maybe get it to become a mount or pet.

where as in wow its just coin an go.or like some other games its pull the mount as a loot card.its a nifty option with choices .
