More race/class combinations? Why even bother with the restrictions in the first place then? This expansion just goes to prove that not even a slash and burn world reset can make this game good. Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts. EAT ME MMORPG.com! |

Ah good, repackaging the old world. And added classes to some races. |

No class/race restrictions? God I hope that isn't true or Blizzard has really just sold out completely. The idea for new content on the old world is somewhat cool, but the way this post described it makes it sound like it's just going to ruin the old content and noob up the new stuff even more then they already did. I played WoW from the first week it came out and loved every minute of it until the first expansion pack came out.. it's only gone downhill from there and unless Blizzard changes their game direction at all for this 'new expansion' then I can't see it ever improving again in my eyes.. but of course everyone else will keep paying them .. lol The MMO industry right now really sucks.. But with the phasing you can be part of it and see the content live without missing anything! Its a great new/old addition that can open tones of content/oppurtunitty for solo and group! So nothing anyone does in their game affects my game, and nothing I do in my game affects anyone else's game. Just like every single-player game ever made, except I get to pay fifteen bucks a month for it. That sounds awesome! Where do I sign up?

in my book blizzard sold out when they brought in faction switching . i dont know how accurate these predictions are but i ve heard it all before . i know lots of people still love wow but for me its a mess . its a bit like going back to a place where you had a good time in the past but end up finding its changed beyond all recognition . if i were to pin point when the game started to go down hill i would say it was when they speeded up the leveling . anyway i m not too bothered am having fun in lotro on a half price life time sub and ddo is free soon and of course theres aion . |

If the revamp is true I can see alot of people reactivating their accounts just for the new expansion as well as new players wanting to play. |

If I can have fun for a fee that's fine but don't give my rewards away for free. |

How many times should I reroll to begin to enjoy the game again. I feel like WoW has defined "end game" and used "grind" in a way that gave us something to do with our extra time. Then they took away mmo with phasing by making it so you are/not in the same place as the other players. Last I saw they were changing pvp by making it a death penalty to even begin an attack on another player. This upcoming patch sounds like they learned from Return to Duskwallow Marsh which was cool for a few levels when I rerolled once again. The excitement was short lived, and it is a huge disappointment playing the same game over again just to get back to the rep/equipment grind, and the end game boredom. Adding content to the existing game has always been a win, but what Bliz has done, and is continuing to do is change the content that players have spent time on, making their game time moot.
imo if anything should be changed it should be the cost of the game since its not 30 days of game time with its 5-12 hours of maintenance once a week, and random server/instance crashes that last 4-6 hours. 2-4 hour que times to enter the server where I had already established a community. Servers where there is no balance between the faction populations. Not to mention Graphix that look like a coloring book, over unappealing new items and areas. I don't know how I can flip old console games over and over, and have it never get old. Playing WoW for me had become an unrewarding pain in the butt to play, but I kept playing for a very long time because I personally had to always one up the other players which is very easy to do solo, or in a top rated guild. Ohhh the nub enjoyment of a level 80 hunter who shot me for 1% damage, or a rogue went to town with his super macro of death then give up because he realized he had only taken me down to 75%, and the pally who decides to bubble hearth before almost dieing after picking a fight believing just because he's a pally he's OP, and the best of all defeating random groups who decided I was an easy target while I had 5 or more Booty Bay bruisers on me. Ok ok I may resub again if they up the level cap to 100 since I'm sure my Tier set will last until I get there lawl.

11M people, give or take 1-2M, already have. Sign up at Blizzard's website. And it is awesome. Who cares about your world? I want cool stuff in mine. |

If I'm going to play in an isolated bubble where other players' actions don't affect me, why should I pay a monthly fee? |

Originally posted by LizardEgypt There are still restrictions; but there are just less of 'em. Most of the new combinations make sense; I never really understood why there were so many nonsensicaly restrictions in the first place: Human Hunters .. why not? The only class combinations that I do consider a bit "wtf?" are Tauren Paladins/Priests .. I would have thought that if Blizzard wanted to add Paladin to a second horde-race, they'd have gone with the Undead as being the most logical choice; fallen humans who have regained their "faith" in the light. |

I hate to say it but I may be jumping back into WoW when this all goes down. Let's see if they deliver first though... For the Templars... |

If I was still playing WoW I'd be excited, but I'm not, so I'm not excited. There are too many great potential MMOs coming out... not enough here to make me come back to this one. |

MMOs are already like this. You are asking those 11M paying customers why. Oh, may be because you can GROUP WITH THEM and kill stuff in dungeons. May be because YOU CAN BUY/SELL STUFF WITH REAL PLAYERS. May be because you can PVP.

WOW graphic is still good, but is on the verge of becoming outdated comparing to a few new games out there. A revamp will be very cool, and also will attract many "retired" players to play alts again. Bravo to Bliz if this is true. |

OTOH, blizzard is making >$1B with WOW each year and i am sure they can afford the best development resources under the sun. The good news is that wow graphics reply a lot more on art direction and less on raw power. It is kind of amazing that i still enjoy looking at the wow world when i am also playing games like prototype, L4D, Wolverine Origins. Blizzard really have top-notch artists. |
