Theres some decisions they have made with wow I wouldnt have personally done as a game developer, but they have by no means betrayed anyone. In fact, I dont think whatever youre on is legal. |

I say yes. But only because I know that things change in MMO's, and nothing that is said is ever set in stone in this industry. I roll with what's given to me. When it comes to Blizzard, they've only made the game better imo over the 5 years it's been out, and I found it funny that recently I wanted to play with a friend, but didn't want to make a new character to suffer through the level grind yet again, and thought it'd be awesome if you could pay to change factions like everything else. Like a week or two later, there it is in the works. Everything they've done is in the name of convenience. I'm sorry that people feel butthurt because they want as many options for players to be happier with their characters taken away/never implemented as possible. Things change. Get used to it. And if not, then cry some more about it. Either way will change nothing. Thanks. |

Really not surprised to see you guys here now that Aion's being released. Turns out there are more people that love this game than the legions of frothing trolls you think are following you. You clowns couldnt even win this poll, on what is possibly the most anti wow board on the internet. That must have been quite a slap to the face. Hope you enjoyed it, i sure as hell did.

People pay more than that to smoke crack. So if money = trust, Blizzard is somewhat less trustworthy than the average crack dealer. |

I try not to get hung up on companies, but have to admit that PC RPG gaming does have three companies that have produced quality games in the last decade. Blizzard, Bethesda and Bioware. And as long as they produce quality games, I will probably play them. To me it is irrelevant what company produced the game, like with The Witcher or Gothic. Both great games produced by smaller companies. With MMOs, the sad fact is that in order to produce high-quality title with good voice acting, art, animations and polish...you need a major company with access to hundred million dollar budgets. Smaller companies can produce superior games purely from setting, gameplay and game mechanics perspective, but they can seldom match look'n'feel, animations and overall polish. With Blizzard, I am looking forward to both Diablo III and Starcraft II. I used to be avid RTS player back in the days. I am also looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect II and SW:TOR. I am not looking forward to the next expansion of the WoW. It clearly shows, with their decisions to recycle old content, that majority of resources are no longer behind it, but I am looking forward to hearing more about their next MMO. I keep my fingers crossed that it will be a scifi title... "The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in." |

Unfortunately the only company that will make a better game than WoW at this point is Blizzard. i used to love WoW , now it just seems that Blizzard has gotten lazy with their content, nothing but re-hashes of past encounters with bosses and re-colored equipment, which they now hand out to all players like candy on halloween now. pretty sad, it used to be a challenge to raid, now it's a joke. oh well, i guess, to answer your question, Yes, i would stay with Blizzard, depending upon the theme of their next MMO, which is currently in the works, although they won't say what it is, i'm kinda curious |

To answer the original question (because it'd be pointless to read everything and try to respond that way), I don't think there's any reason to not trust Blizzard. What have they done wrong besides copying cool features from other games? They've produced solid titles and will continue to do so. One thing I do hope is that they remember their humble beginnings... For the Templars... |

Originally posted by Funeralstorm I know how you feel, I used to love WoW, but it just seems like Blizz has been losing steam. Before release they had so many cool features planned, and I was incredibly pumped. On release I found substantially less than they had promised, but I had counted on that much. At first their patches seemed to be actually making ground, but it's been a long time since they've seemed to be doing much more than fixing oversights, and making things easier. |

For the record, Blizzard never promises anything, at any time they could change their mind and they have. "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |

No wow hater here, loved the game. Its time for me has past though. I can agree class balance has been alot better then it was in the past. But it took them 4 years to actually do it. BC was far more balanced than WOTLK. |

If it weren't for my friends and WoTLK I would have left WoW after BC. I also believe 3.2 patch was an awesome patch and cannot wait to see what Blizzard has planned for WoW next. :) ![]() |

If it weren't for my friends and WoTLK I would have left WoW after BC. I also believe 3.2 patch was an awesome patch and cannot wait to see what Blizzard has planned for WoW next. :) Because some specs required skills compared to what is now. I could write 10 pages worth of this, but I'll just give a simple exmple. You know resto druids, who everyone said they're OP in arena. You could distinguish between a bad resto druid and a skilled resto druid easily, and the difference was huge. A bad resto druid would just sit there trying to spam Lifebloom, Rejuv and some really bad timed Cyclone which would easily result in him being interrupted then burst to death. They'd also be plain bad at pole dancing, hurting themselves more than hurting the opposite team. A good resto druid would know how to time his abilities in unison with his partner: he would use Bash, Feral Charge, Cyclone and Roots on key moments in the game and a lot more offensive abilties like Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Starfire and Wrath, assisting his partner in killing someone, but without burning up his mana like a retard. |

Furthermore I can easily think of at least a dozen companies that have gone against the design philosphy of blizzard and they are directly responsible for blizzard swallowing up 60% of the market. Releasing games before they are ready and not designing a game to be fun first has been a real shit storm on the genre and is the major blockage for advancement. If more companies had the philosphy that blizzard did there would be far more great games on the market, but that isn't the case now is it?
It's ok to not like something, but at least think about what you are saying. |

I'll be laughing my arse off when Blizzard announces their next MMORPG as the people bashing them now will no doubt be clamoring to be the first to play their new game. ![]() |

Will you trust one of the most respected game developers again after [producing] the most financially successful game ever made?
Why, yes. I believe I will.

World of Warcraft has not only succeeded... it set the bar so high that new devs strive for second place.

Trust Blizzard again? What the hell have they done that's untrustworthy? Sure, I hate wow as much as the next guy but I'd be a fool to say that it wasn't an amazingly well made game, just not my taste. Blizzard has the talent and money to make any type of game well. I just hope that their next mmo is a sandbox, open pvp, siege warfare type mmo. "It is in your nature to do one thing correctly; Before me, you rightfully tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. 1. Cross faction transfers - Many people want this. I know a lot of players who are excited about it including myself. I have asked before and will ask again - name me one negative of this. Just one REAL negative and not an opinion - one thing that it will do to ruin the game. Faction Imbalance. 2. Class balance. - Name me one game that doesn't struggle with this. Class balance is a MYTH. Classes will never be balanced especially when dealing with games like WOW where PVP can be done on a 1 vs 1 level all the way to 100+ players. If you balance for 1 vs 1, its unbalanced with larger numbers. If you balance for larger numbers, its unbalanced at 1 vs 1. True class balance will never happen unless the classes are identical. Even mirroring them like WAR, didn't work. Team Fortress 2 3. Promises of "meaningful" PVP. This one I will agree with to an extent. I have always considered PVP in WOW to be an after thought - meaning not its major focus anyway. I have not seen many games with meaningful PVP in a while either - AOC and WAR certainly not. For me, meaningful PVP ended with DAOC. 4. Character recustomization, including gender and name changes. - Um, so?!? How is this bad? Reputation i.e. Ninja Looters etc 5. Wanting 310% mounts to mean something ( Hello Ony Retcon!) This sounds like, to me, an elitist hardcore example of why the game sucks. Someone is upset that the game has gone the direction of the casual player and elitism in WOW ended with BC coming out. Gone are the 40 man raids and the top 10% of the population seeing all the content. Now WOW is for the casual gamer and better for it. The only ones who are upset over this are the ones who think their $15 is more important than the next person's. 6. PvE --> PvP transfers
Want more? You mean those things asked for by a lot of players? You mean those things that can hardly be called promises.....things that ever other MMO struggles with or does for its playerbase.
