It's a risky decision to make because you just don't know if you'll like a game long-term. I was lucky with LOTRO -- I paid for a lifetime sub and still play (less often than I did though). I definately got my money's worth not having to pay the monthly fees. Had I been paying the monthy fee all this time, it would have cost me $405 to date. Instead, I only paid $200. Nice savings. |

I think paying a lifetime sub for any game with MTs is super silly - even sillier than paying a subscription for an mmo with MTs. And this isn't the first overpriced Bill Roper mmo that has come with a limited-time-offer lifetime subscription, and we all know what happened to Hellgate London.... |

oh yeah, just look at Warcrafts, Starcraft or Diablos. Blizzard almost bankrupted because of him. /sarcasm off |

Only if you see yourself playing over a year is it worth it. I got one with LOTRO. To be honest it wasn't a great purchase. Not that's its a bad game. But I just didn't get into it at all. |

Lol I missed it to :( But lets be honest here. Lotro has been out for a While now. It aint new by any meens. so trying to grab that next 100 bucks im sure sounds good. Champ Online will probably do the same thing, but not for a few years. If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. |

You can answer the question for yourself next Monday. The lifetime sub also comes with 8 additional character slots. Over the lifetime of the game, if you can see yourself playing for 12 or so months and purchasing extra slots, then the lifetime sub will save you money. |

No. From what I've seen this game is too shallow at this point to be worth a lifetime subscriptions. Just buy the game and play the free month that comes with before you decide. |

I voted no, I found the game boring and lackluster on many levels. Second with a DC and a Marvel MMO coming down the pipeline, I would not invest so heavily into Champions as those two titles may prove to be much better. |

That's not an option. The offer for the lifetime sub expires on 9/1. Unfortunately, you have to get into the open beta to make an informed decision on this. |

I don't think so. I am not impressed of what I seen so far. There are other games I would gladly pay 200 bucks for however, the payment method is a good idea. From what I seen do DCU look a lot more promising if you like superhero game. To be only able to play a random spandex hero or to be able to play one of the Jokers henchmen in Gotham city? No hard choice at least for me. The fact that Jim lees wonderful art is a lot better than who ever made it for CO helps also with the decision. |

Actually, with LotRO it was $199.99 if you bought the lifetime sub at launch. Then they raised it to $299.99. They recently changed it to $199.99 again for the 2 year anniversary.
With CO, I don't care fpr the game .. but I'm glad there is an option for lifetime. I hope more companies begin adopting lifetime subs. |

I bought the 6month pack (plus 30days from the game). With that pack you only pay $10/month. STO, TOR, DConline and other games are coming in the following months. And I will prob split my game time between 2-3 anyway. For someone that played CoX for 5 years and really enjoyed the beta so far? That sounds like a great deal. For me? I really enjoy the game (see it for yourself next week -> open beta), but I rather pay $10/month. I never played a MMO for more than 2 years (and I play these games since 99). I will reconsider it in a year (I bet they will reopen these promotions near the first game anniversary or first big expansion) depending on how the game evolves. ps.: all of the above = IMHO |

Personlly no but in my case i cant see myself playing any MMO long enough to get $200 worth out of it. Only one mmo has held my attention for more than 6 months or so. |
