I do not understand why a game that isnt to difficult to learn and has a fun community is a suitable "girl" game..personally I thought those features made it just a good game.. oh and I never tried silk road online..what did you find enjoyable about this..might provide a hint for your next game.. |

I m sorry.. you got me wrong! I actually meant girl friendly game not a "girl" game. And about silkroad.. its a pretty crappy game, but i was playing it because my father and our friends were playing with me, which made the game a lot more fun. |

I still personally love Guild Wars and LotrO. I love the art and music of guild wars. The armor, while not really...customizable and unique, lets you dye it an almost unlimited number of colors. And that, personally, is just Great! Cheap game, free to play. LotrO allows you to create your own outfits, from armor/outfit only items/etc. You can than also dye them. The best part is, you can have an outfit shown, but your normal armor is still their. The outfits give no benefits, just so you can look however you wish. Something I just love. But the music :\ Wish some of the music from the movies were in it. Cheap game, with often having 9.99 a month sales. I play on Brandywine, if you chose that server, under this name, of course. |

You might want to play RUNES of MAGIC. I am 49 and have just started to play it and have been playing MMO's since they came out. I have to say for a totally free game it is pretty polished and I have run into a few girls even on a PVP server indigo. Unlike guild wars which has no monthy fee you still have ot buy the game. Yes, they have a cash type shop but you really do not need to use if you do not want . Sure there are jerk people on every game but most seem to be nice so far. It cannot hurt to check it out until something you really like comes out. Personally, for me I have kind of been waiting on champions to come out looks interesting. I have never played COH/COV but a superhero type game is interesting to me. |

Hmm.. sounds pretty good! I m gonna give it a shot! Can any of you at least reccomend a server to start on? |

I think you should try Aion or Guild Wars. Both great games and easy to get used to. Guild Wars also doesn't have the monthly fees and would be a hell of a replacement over Silk Road. |

They have both PVE and two PvP servers I myself am on indigo. They have a dual class system where at level ten you can add another class I am Knight /warrior but yo can choose rogue/priest or any number of combos it is very interesting as you get the skills of two classes. Some skills you cannot use because they are class specific. And the donwnload does not take days or anything like that. The pvp if you choose a pvp server only happens after you get to level 15. The crafting is very easy although not for me. You also get a free house. If you do go on indigo server look up Helixsun that is my toon. It is like WOW but the only thing I do not like is everyoen is human. |

An MMO for women/girls is as hard to make as any MMO, why? Because all women are different, just like all men are different. I, for example, do not like Aion, however, somer other guy does. Just like My wife likes Tabula Rasa, but some other woman does not.
I think the problem is not making an MMO for women or men, the problem is making an MMO an individual enjoys. You can not group all women and all men into one group and say an MMO is for them, because you will find that does not work. |

well i know there are no SPECIAL games.. but with this post i wanted to exclude the ones that seriously arent for girls.. Nr1 example - Eve.. and its not really about being girl.. its about a game that is very easy to play.. |

Well since it looks like you found a game, let me ask, does "easy" mean its girl friendly? I ask because I have a wife that would be very offended by that, but at the same time I want to understand what a girl friendly game is. I'm just trying to figure it out, I'm not trying to point out the obvious everyones different arguement, I was just wondering what are some of the top requirements for a girl friendly game, we talking not gorey? bright colors? more social aspects? not all women portrayed in game have humongous racks? Is customization what reigns supreme? Just wondering, Cause if a girl game is something that is simply easy to play, fun, with some social aspects, thats too broad, thats what everyone wants in an mmo.

Honestly, Ilva, I would suggest nothing to you. For me, as it stands right now, the market is low on good MMOs. Of course, it might be just me, but I would suggest either playing something that does not require an investment (like buying a new game) or playing one of the F2P games. I am waiting for the future in hopes to find something unique. MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit. |

Well.. i know there arent any SUPERB games out right now, but its not like theres nothing to play ^^ |

Try the City of Heroes trial, great character look design, simple power selection, straight forward gameplay (if a tadge repetitive) and an excellent community, might suit. |

I dunno why people say the WoW community is all that bad. I play on a PvP server and I haev not seen anything or heard anything that would turn me off from the game because the community on the server I play on is actually really nice. BTW I am female and I play WoW and EvE. I would not recommend EvE for a person that is not ready for such a steap learning curve based game. Plus the PvP in EvE is cutthroat - ruthless. Being ransomed for ISK by a pirate gang is not fun. :( LoTR's is a fun game, but it can be limited. If I were to recommend a game for a newish player that wished to have tons of fun things to do I would definitely go with WoW. It is easy to learn early on and there is lots ot see and do in the game and despite what others my tell you the game is doing fine. New player areas always have new and old players in them. So yeah, I'd recommend either LoTR's or WoW right now. ![]() |

give ryzom a try, it has one of the best communities in any game, a custom skill system, and a great harvesting/crafting system. ____________________________ |
