Another server transfer, this time is Praag.  How many servers left now?

Not all server mergers mean death for a MMO..take EVE Online for example...If a game has a faithful following it can survive...by no means am I saying that WAR is failing...Im just saying that IMHO its not a bad thing for some mergers.

I count 10

Six North American servers left with Praag shutting down for good. I remember a guy used to post here about how great Praag was all the time. This is some kinda slip and really gives an idea where this game is the way he used to go on and on about it.

I don't know how many are left on the EU servers. I'd assume more since Warhammer is a mostly EU kind of thing in the first place.

While SOME server mergers are good and can help games, this is not the case for this game. This game has had so many server closings that Mythic made a thread specifically titled "Server Transfers - Everything You Need to Know".

When you're closing THAT much that it rates it's own official threads on your own site run by moderators, that can't be a good sign at all.

This seems to be the norm for on line games.

The game becomes public and everyone wants to have a go, thus 10 billion servers.  As things settle, and and people who's type of game it is stay, and those who are looking for something else leave, the number of servers shrink to fit.

No big drama here, after Aion has been public for some time that will most likely shrink to 2 servers, it's just the way things are.

Eve has one server true....but it never had a merger.

Down to 6 servers now?

That can't be right can it?  The forums show 14 server forums including the oceanic realms.  I'm on a break from the game, but is it really down to 6 in north america?

Well that might have been true if EU wasnt handled by GOA... 

I'd say 5 servers left because I can't see DC lasting much longer the way it's going.

Theres 3 Core, 2 Open, 1 Roleplaying NA Servers.  Then, 2 core servers for European.

Pretty sad. The new patch notes look really good, but this company has let down nearly 1Million people. Its whole Fan base pretty much. The only ones who stay are the Starving PVP Hobos who have no other home (game) to go to right now.

Almost felt like re-installing War but I don't want Mythic Table scraps now. its way too late for the game to be saved.

well when your answer to server population inblance is making the classes on the side with fewer players more powerful, failure is gonna happen

 I said at the beggining of the year this game would close before next Christmas and I see no reason to change that view. It doesn't matter how many servers they merge, the core problems of the game are still there which means people will keep leaving. Having an RvR game based on 2 factions is suicidal, then adding PvE as it's endgame and PvE zones that take's one side away from the RvR is just laughable. It's unfixable now and the only real solution for EA is to make as much money as they can from the subs they have and then close it down.

I knew that once I left, things would go bad for WAR.

I feel terrible now.

Yeah, I logged on one day and noticed Azureal was lacking from the game world.
I couldn't go on and immediately unsubbed.

The people that I knew, left because end game was such a mess. They just wanted RvR, but

it was lame. Funnily enough, they went back to WoW.

As for WoW, I can remember my wife suggesting we start our accounts again not too long back...damn that was close.

It is really sad, Warhammer is such a great world for a MMO... I still hope that the Bioware will revamp the game to be more Warhammer. Or that they will let the greenskins at least dump the chaos gang and form a third faction.

I think the real problem was when MJ and Barnett said: Lets make a game like Wow but better with more PvP. If they would have aimed more for the Warhammer fans and made the game based on careers like WFRPG instead of levels like Wow 'I think it would have worked better. And Mythic themselves had already proven that 3 sides are the most fun option in PvP so why they made 2 sides against the game lore is a total mystery to me.

But I didn't know things were this bad, so few servers. Warhammer was my favorite pen and paper RPG fpr many years but I didn't get the feeling of the game in WAR, I didn't even get the feeling of fantasy battles or Blood bowl in it so it was too painful for me to play it.

Warhammer have so much great lore but just having 2 stinking citys in a game isn't enough even though Altdorf was rather good. Even AoC have more than that.

I do really hope that they still can turn things around but it depends a lot about EA. If Bioware help Mythic out in the parts they are bad at (likr RPGing) and Mythic tries to get the game closer to DaoC things could turn around but if they just continue like before the game will be gone within a year. :(

Hello everyone,

I just want to say that what Raztor said basically hit alot if not every single point on the head. I just cancelled today.

This game is broken for so many reasons. It never made me want to loose sleep except at the very beginning.

The one thing that bothered me the most where nerfs and a freaking pve end game. Needed more of a stealth

game as well so if you were tired of having to zerg everywhere you could take a break and go 1 on 1.
