So an interesting little poll for the mmorpg crowd at large. So far, StarVault (hearby SV) has had problems after problems, from websites crashing, to their preorder store site screwing up, billing screwing up, beta block status screwing up, the beta launch screwing up, the beta server being a mess (see non-nda twitter link for server related public posts: https://twitter.com/MortalBeta - and what the crap is this using twitter to communicate with your player base?!), their lack of beta forums and a beta irc channel that only 1/5th the player base can access?

Lot's of problems, but it's to be expected. They are honest and open and this is a beta, not a launch. I have faith they will get it together. I just hope they can pull it off before they run out of money. Key thing for me is.. will they get freely placed player houses/shops in. TIME WILL TELL FOOL. |

I'm still hopeful, and the dev's honesty regarding the state of the game is one of the reasons for my hope. |

It's called beta, things are meant to go wrong now so they don't happen during release. Trolls = Hardcore

The odds are stacked against them, but the same can be said for any MMORPG under development, so few really succeed. While it is true they are honest, doesn't change the fact they are an underfunded Indie developer who might not have the capital to carry off a good, reasonably feature complete launch which woud most certainly doom the game should they fail to deliver.

I have hopes still, but they are dwindling. I think there concept is solid, just dont think they have the manpower and resources to pull it off, hope I'm wrong though. Haven't really seen any fail posts yet though, meaning people who have played the beta totally giving up on the game not caring about the game or NDA so they say whatever they want because they are not worried about the consequences, so I guess that could be a good thing. |

I think they had alot of fails but from what I seen and read and talked to people I think they are very honest about it. Every game has errors and delays. But what matters is how they fix them and work with the problems. Block C was delayed due to somethings but atleast they fixed it. So now they can move on to the next. The way I see it if they are honest and hardworking and give 100 % to make it work and loves what they do I would be happy to invest in it. And how can I be a fanboy without even playing it? Youre as blind as you are ignorant. Have a Nice day :) |

You can't really be that dense?? Blizzard or Bioware isn't gonna come out 6 months to a year before they launch a game to give out 10,000 preorders to get in beta for there games, they are going to finish there games and do internal beta's to you know actually fix problems. It's obvious what they are doing, I'm not knocking them for it they are an indy company, they are doing what they have to do to try and complete the game. Call me a troll if you want, I'm calling you blind. |

I can make up stuff too if I don't need to provide any hard evidence. Well I don't know about your hearsay, but I am smack in the middle of it, with block A access.
It was block A and B that was delayed (block c is in a week and a half or so.. and probably will be delayed as well if they stick to how things have been going), and as soon as they let block B in, everything stopped working to the point where they don't even bother trying to leave the servers fully on while they are sleeping anymore. (aka anyone in north america is screwed unless they can stay up all night)
Well I didn't call you a fanboy, but there are plenty of fanboys who havent played the game they are fanning about heh. This is true of any game, especially pre-launch. I am neither blind nor ignorant, due to being in block A ;) ---- |

This is the public financial data for their stock anyway, that may or may not help: http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/snapshot/snapshot.asp?ric=STVAb.ST Last listed stock sale was for about 0.38$ in US dollar value. Pretty sure that since they are stocked, they will have public financial info somewhere, google probably will find it ---- |

So on March 31 of this year they had just over $247k in cash.
