I think some people, especially F2P (Real Micro Transaction) defenders are missing the point here. Else where we have a rational argument about the issue, here I just stick two fingers up at RMT’s :D

I completely agree with the thread starter. However i think that most pay to play mmo's are not that much better. They are just slightly better than free to play mmo's because they have higher production values. Aside from that mmo's are all the same with a few exceptions.

This is why i stopped looking for good mmo's to play, because there are none. I have already played and got bored of the decent ones.

yep the trouble with grind fest is that asian love those they hate easy mode game that can be finish in a very short time 

they would probably ask a diff way if it existed but as of yet the techno isnt there ai isnt there yet and even if it is you ll go seek a guide on wiki as soon as its avail so grind is the only way game dev found for now to make the game look epic

my beef is really with the fact that I pay 60 bucks for the game, 15 bucks a month for access, and then 60 bucks every 6 months to a year for each expansion(and don't fucking tell me the expansions aren't required, I've been playing MMOs since Everquest. I know better.). I don't give a shit how many cents it is a day. I don't pay by the day.  I should have to pay for EITHER the game, OR access. Not both.

Charge me for the Box(and expansions), and let me play for no monthly fee, or give me the game client for free, and charge me a monthly fee. I'm honestly good with either of those.

Well id rather shoot myself or play SWG post NGE than play an F2P game they appear diabolical...

However they do serve an important social purpose , they weed out all the weasel brained numbnuts from logging onto games I do actually play and wasting my time with some incoherant attempt to group or play with me..resulting in me enjoying my gaming experience much more than had they been there.

The fact that people are able to get hooked to a F2p cash grinder is how people like George Agdgdgwngo get rich in life.
