I had quite a few laughs as well.

Ahh... so now we know why the account page is open 24/7... it's the optimizations.  The "apparent" lack of players is just an illusion. 

Same shit he says in every interview where they don't ask him real questions or push him out of his comfort zone, forcing him to become the rude little prick he's known to be ( like when mmorpg.com interviewed him months ago ). Except, of course, instead of "Every gamer will have a chance to try Darkfall before purchsing." has changed to "We don't have one. We might someday.".

"Groundbreaking technology" cracks me up every time, though.

 The optimization part is the truth. Sieges are not screen freezing lag anymore.

Yeah that one is pretty funny as well.
 

For an AI that was touted as being the smartest... it sure seemed to be getting a lot of updates every single patch.  Heck by now it should be able to run circles around Deep Blue. 

Hopefully, some may start to realize why some of us were skeptical of Tasos' claims back before Beta even started.  There aren't many of the koolaid drinkers left... but some are still drinking in Tasos' own special blend like there is no tomorrow.

I hope that you're not including wyrdaskolir in with the few koolaid drinkers, he's been the most balanced fan of the game that we have posting here.

If Darkfall has ever had 10k concurrent users online, they'd have announced it. There would be queues.  Players would be posting about how full the server is, not how empty.  It's pure bullshit.

Regarding battles with thousands of players, also bullshit.  The largest campaign I've ever heard of on the boards (both here and on the official boards) was allegedly with 2k players and I've yet to hear of one since then that's been even one thousand (hundreds is more like it).  If it was happening, we'd know.  At the time I played, I questioned whether there were even 2 or 3 thousand online, so how could these epic battles even be possible?  Also, before some anal-retentive (more than me ;) ) apologist comes along, yes 2k players is "thousands", but Tasos is clearly implying that these types of battles occur regularly, not just the alleged one time.

I wonder if AV knows how many people would play the game if they just got rid of him or at least tied him in a closet. He just pukes so much crap that I think he has a problem with reality. The answer to the MO question was great though, beer almost gushed out my nose.

Is this any surprise? It's just another "generic question/generic answer" dis-dat, filled with the complimentary massive use of adjectives, such as "groundbreaking" et al.

Does anyone fall for this lip service, anymore? I hope not.

What's the merit of giving interviews filled with half-truths, obfuscation and hype talk? How can you trust a developer that calls a patch an "expansion" ("expansion" with content that should be in the game right off the bat, mind you)? Really, silence is golden, when all they have to say is that.

The person who wrote the article/asked the questions doesn't seem too intelligent nor does he appear to know how to speak (type) in proper english...

Stopped reading after I realized the same questions that have been asked before were being asked again...
