Ok, I'll take that bet. I bet you $300 that the next WoW expansion will not sell 3.4 million copies in the next 24 hours. Heck, let's get serious, and make it $3000. ____________________________________________ |

of course blizzard stock is doing well, i got my dividend check through the mail from activision blizzard last week, being a shareholder that is....its the safest investment portfolio. I will pump more investment into activision blizzard before 3, sc2, and the next wow expansion releases. I have not lost my value of stocks since burning crusade yet. |

Well. How about 8.6 million confirmed boxes by NPD then. ... http://www.wow.com/2009/07/30/npd-world-of-warcraft-has-sold-8-6-million-boxes-at-retail/ It sure beats the 800 K first month of Sims3. Now which game will kill WOW again ? :)))))
800k in the first month for Sims 3 vs. 8.6 million total WoW box sales for the last 4 years including expansions is a funny way of comparing. Next time, read the article you link. |

Yes, but like I calculated: due to the subscriptions... Blizzard sells the equivalent money of around 40.000.000 copies ... each year (6-7 M subs * 30 dollar subs cards * 6). So Blizzard "keeps selling" the game millions of time ... each month. You left out that part of my post.... :)))
You know, I didn't say WoW didn't make more money. I said comparing the first month of Sims 3 to 4 years of WoW was an illogical comparison. For one thing, you're comparing a singleplayer game that gets bought once and that's it, to an mmo with a monthly fee being paid. |

Ahh, more Zorndorf going off topic with completely irrelevant info to bolster and advertise for WoW. Never gets old. Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic |
