How is gear/pvp currently? It really sounds like the minigames have headed where wow was before they changed the pvp ranking mechanics. Can you keep the pvp gear once you get it? Is the pvp/pve obtained gear useless in the other field? Do you lose pvp gear if you lose ranks? How bad are the pug groups vs organized groups? I've heard they've nerfed gem stacking considerably, is crafted gear stil viable? Do the stats on gear make sense/work better then they did? Do you still have the stat cap where say putting agility gear on a midlevel assasin is worthless after the first couple pieces?

Originally posted by brutotal i think crafted gear is now #1 not sure thogh, as i didnt run any tests myself but it seems so. which i dont mind at all. no you dont loose your PvP gear yes PvE and PvP gear are segregated and distinct. i dont know about sins as i didnt play one, but gear makes sense after 1.05, not as much as in WoW or other mmos where gear can multiply your DPS or mitigation by x200. at least now, you can see a noticeable change in attribs when you swap a green VS a blue item for example, and thts rewarding in many aspects but mostly in crafting, now when you waist your time gathering to craft an item, at least you know it is worth something, and even if you are not gonna use it, you know that people are willing to pay top golds for it on the trader. thats all i can say, i hope some expert in PvP can explain the rerst for you. |

PVP is great. After this patch 1.5, everyone's HP got raised considerably, so the fights are lasting much longer. No more one-hit's or two-hit kills. Some people say casters are too powerful , but that's just whining. I took out my retired demonologist for a run in commons and got my ass kicked by a SIN and a HOX pretty badly. About the gear and stat cap, I'm really not sure. All items have only one slot now (except culture gear), and the (+) of the stats given by the gems is according to the level of the crafted item.

I love the pace, and feeling of the PvP, but I wish there was more death penalty and the world felt a bit more dangerous. I guess I like risk, and it provides greater reward. I do love the fights the though. |
