Lets face it, MMOs today are turning into single player console games with a chat box included. |

I can only imagine the fog of BO wafting through every theatre across the country when this releases. |

Other than Evil Dead, I'm not really a fan of Sam Raimi. I thought all the Spiderman movies were kind of blah. There were some good scenes but overall I"d rather watch reruns of batman the animated series. A WoW movie is going to be too kiddie. I imagine it will be like the Spiderwick Chronicles, if you have a kid to watch it with, you'll enjoy it, but for grownups I cant see if offering that medieval quality I'd be looking for. If it has the humor of The Princess Bride that could be a different story. |

Seriously, though. I understand people enjoying the game but how can you honestly be that enfatuated with it to watch a movie? Maybe they'll incorporate the faction switching in the movie and an Orc will randomly change into a Human. (Edit to your age comment) Pulling a random number out of the air for average player age is easy to do, but you've estimated quite high imo. Do you have any proof of that number? |

To get an average age of 25 (if your assumption is correct) would mean you'd have players over 25 and Under 25. Being as there are gamers in and over their 40's playing wow to drop that average all the way down to 25 would take a 15 year swing. take 15 years off of 25. 10 years old. Even if that 15 year swing is too great 12 or 13 years old. It's going to have to be a movie made for kids and hardcore fans of the franchise. |

Your friends will hate and look down upon you if they find out you went to see a WoW movie. Deep down as mmo players, we already have achieved notable levels of phail in our lives, don't try and push it to critcal mass by seeing this movie. |

The movie will be an astounding success; it will set new limits into how much the film industry can dumb down a movie for those under eighteen. Future movies in this genre will never be the same again, just sticking to “WoW the Film’s” tired format in an attempt to match its box office success. The film going public will watch as a form of entertainment which was pitched before for those in their 20’s and 30’s becomes slavishly devoted to the teenager demographic. They will steadily lose interest in going to see films, which will become an industry kept alive by new prepubescents joining the teenage throng. RIP film industry. |

I am sure we'll get more info at blizzcon in a few weeks, they have been silent on the movie for a long time now. As to the peeps judging the moving already, lets wait untill we get more info other than "Sam Raimi & Ledgenary pictures". Most are saying the movie will sux for the sole reason they dont like blizzard/wow... open your minds a little. |

Kinda weird that on a MMO fansite more than half the posts are saying negative stuff about this movie already. With an established IP and a top director this film at the very least has real potential. Wow is a great success, the Spiderman films were a great success, so this is pretty much guaranteed to be a big summer blockbuster. It sounds like good news to me. I stopped playing WoW about 4 years ago, but that doesn't mean I have to hate everything about it. |

They feel they need to put down all WoW ralated stuff like this upcoming movie becuase they feel they can't conform to whats in. There will always be those who will choose the other path just cuase they want to feel they're doing something special.
As for the Movie I always like the CGI intros they have in their game. There just always so good. It would be dumb to say that the Movie would look like a In-Game WoW. Just look up WoW cinematics and you know they movie is going to be good. All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you. |
