Honestly..............some DF fans have become so bitter lately with the rather quick demise of the player base. No one is going to "swarm you" for enjoying DF, ppl wil "swarm you" for making assadine posts like that. Most peeps problems are with the game it's self or the behavior of the developers. DF does catch it's share of critics, but I think that is to be expected with the long development time and the promises made and not kept. So don't take things so personally, people have different opinions, learn to deal with it. |

Great first impression OP. I am still have the same feeling after 4 months now. As for these improvements. 1) DF is designed with main focus on PvP , seek yourself and be ready for PvP at any time and after you got familiar with the game switch over to PvP as your main activity as for content / Lore / income etc. As for now, follow the quest lines there are quests at various NPC and theNPC at capitals can provide you with the "title quests"2 2) DF was initially meant not to give much information out. It was meant you going out and explore the world and keep yourself notes about what you discovered. 3)I am not sure if you left the beginner areas and got yourself to exploring yet. Also many mobs spawn dynamically if you getting in a specific area so maybe you passed empty mobspawns and left mobs "right and left" behind you ? The world is not cluttered with mobs but i dont have a prob with finding PvE if i want to.

after playing for a day i dont understand why ppl hate this game. its got pretty graphics and combat is really diffrent and fun. so i guess its diffrent from person to person as to how they experience the game. for me its just fun and i guess thats all we need otherwise we would find somethin else 2do. but play before you judge. |

They fail to see issues that have caused players to cancel their account, and can not understand how any one with an ounce of sense who enjoys full loot pvp could even suggest that the game fails to entertain after a certain amount of play.
I played for about 4 months, would have kept my account open longer just as a way to sponsor the game giving devs the time to add content and fluff, anything to make the necessary steps to become competitive enjoyable, or give you something fun to do when you dont really feel like looking for pvp . The first few weeks were ok, but play soon became rather boring. I only got enjoyment out of PvP and sieging, but needed to pve to become competitive and did not want to do what those who hate the gameplay did -leave my computer on all day/night macroing or at the blood wall, also refused to hack or exploit mobs as so many did.
Anyway, there you have it ... my story. I keep up with this forum for 2 reasons still. First, I still hope to see the game live up to its full potential and be given a reason to return. Second, I do not like seeing fellow gamers being given reports on a game which are plainly misleading or wrong. I have a huge problem with that and beleive this is done with the purpose to get folk to plop down their $50.00 to create income for the developers. Keep it honest and informative and you would see a very different DF forum.

some people love the things i hate about WOW, good for them. What YOU find a horrible feature others probably find refreshing, or great.
get over it.
