I am awaiting Champions Online, despite the RMT issue I will give it a try. Also there is a game by White Wolf that includes stuff like Vampires Masquerade - forget the name, forgive me I am old - that looks good, if it ever gets off the ground. MO looks good, but I cannot afford it. |

I am looking with anticipation at FF XIV, but what the devs have said so far scares me. Trying to make the game more casual and solo friendly, when FF XI succeeded so much and didn't follow that pattern? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against soloers, I believe you should have your games too. But FF XI succeeded because it was a group game. If the devs think that adding more solo content will make the game even more successful that FF XI, then they are wrong. They will simply alienate the original FF XI crowd that FF XIV will initially attract, and once the original crowd sees that FF XIV is not like FF XI, the fanbase for FF XIV will start decreasing. If this were to happen, then hopefully the game survives from the casual crowd. Otherwise, Square Enix will learn a multi-million dollar lesson: Don't change what works. |

This list isn't final, because it could shift depending on how quickly and how much information Bioware releases. 1. SW: TOR 2. Earthrise 3. Don't really have one right now. I would say MO but I'm not sure how smoothly the FPV (first-person view) will work out. Maybe it'll end up being one of the games under the hype radar right now, but that will deliver nicely.

My 3 most anitipated MMORPGs are as follows: 1. Star Wars: The Old Republic - This game is history in the making. Great IP, ethical and moral choices, and the largest voice over in the history of entertainment. 2. DC Universe Online - I've always have wanted to bust some heads in Gotham with Batman. 3. The Agency - Cause I like James Bond and Jason Bourne or Star Trek Online - Again another great IP. Lol, I know your asking yourself. Someone who like Star Wars and Star Trek, it can't be? Yet its true. LOL! I know, I know that was 4 and not 3, but the last two could go either way. When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there! |

I'm sure that FFXIV will have great appeal in the East, not likely to be that much of a hit in the West since it's trying to be more hardcore than casual.
Assuming none of these end up going sub plus micro transaction, I'm looking forward to SW: TOR and DC Universe Online and Star Trek Online. Champions would have been the 4th, but it's been confirmed to be subscription plus micro transaction.
It does include eastern subscribers too, but only japanese as that is the only eastern country the game was released in. |

LOL, I feel the same. Aion looks interesting, and will probably play it for a bit, but once FFXIV is release and available I will probably drop Aion. I'll probably play Aion causally but not as hardcore as FFXIV, but who knows...maybe Aion would get me hooked. |

I think we should at least wait for more info before jumping to conclusions. I loved FFXI, it was my first MMO. Still, I left because it took too much time to form groups. There were many times it took so long, 15 minutes into partying, someone would have to leave. I know a few people IRL who stopped playing because it took too long to do anything. I highly doubt adding solo content would cause them to be less successful. As for my top 3 Aion is what I will be playing, so I guess I won't even count that. FFXIV SW:TOR DCUO |
