It sounds like that they will add a class and 2 races in the next expansion pack, yes. Particulary if their next MMO is still a few years away because they will have to introduce a lot of new things to make the players stay. A few years ago Blizzard had very little actual competition but when big companys with many hit games behind them as Bioware and Bethesda enters the market they will have to renew the game or start to bleed players, that is how the game market works. The question is if they will make another 10 levels or not, constantly raising the level bar is one of the things that made EQ lose so many players, all low level content tends to be a long tutorial instead of actually interesting and fun playing. But Blizzard will most likely add a lot of new things to Wow, they have no other option. |

True. When War is close to release, or after they release? WoW respond by releasing WG, a so-call open world pvp area. Another area about Blizz is they are being realistic in what their game can offer. They never boost their pvp area can cater to 200 vs 200. They just do the best their game can offer and continue to improve upon that... Im really looking forward to the next x-pac and see whether they can bring a new kind of gameplay to the end-game..

Originally posted by xNIAx1 Congratulations, you made the list... Back on topic, as someone said previously, Bliz stated one Hero Class per Expansion but it's possible they will have two. If they cut back the amount of expansions they will release to concentrate more on their new MMO they may double up on Hero classes per expansion. I doubt they'll put any new playable races, 5 per faction seems like enough. But as they've thrown lore out the window already you never know, a third faction maybe... I'd also like to see a Woodworking Profession for the manufacture of Bows, Staves and Shields. The game is lacking that at the moment.

The reasoning behind adding Death Knights is that it fit with the theme of the expansion and it was classic class from the RTS games, also they filled a lacking role(tank). Any new "hero" classes would likely have to meet the same requirements. So, while Arch Druid is almost guaranteed for the Emerald Dream expansion there is no such guarantee for the Maelstrom/South Seas expansion. If Goblins are added I could imagine a Tinker class, one that uses technology and maybe battle suits to fight. However, adding more and more classes has never worked. Yeah, it revitalizes interest for a short time from former subscribers but only causes problems in the long run. Blizzard is struggling to balance(and failing) the single hero class WoW currently has. |

Future heroic classes have been revealed! Healer: Paladin Caster: Warlock |

Before death knights WOW had 3 classes that could tank. Feral Druids Prot Warriors and Palladins<--Bliz has buffed this class to overpowered status so I doubt the balancing is limited to new classes :P |

For the most part, I don't care a whole lot about new classes. I think the ones we got now are fine and cover what's needed. More classes also makes the game more and more difficult to balance as they add up. Just look at DK lol. However, if they were to introduce Worgen or Pandaren, my sub would pretty much be guaranteed for quite a while and I would certainly play a Pandaren brewmaster if they added that as a class. Heck, I could easily see that becoming my new main. I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid. |
