Well I would like to ask some question the WOW players that already played aion so i can see their opinion... well i 've been playing wow since releace... i am mostly A pvp player 2000+ rating but i like pve also... I kept playing wow since today... and i have to say i am a little tired.. i want to try something new.. I have already tried Age of Conan and Warhammer Online... but those games weren't any better than WOW.. Age of conan had a very nice gameplay and it required some skill in order to do pvp and use your skills.. things i didn't like about it is that all classes had mana pool even the assasin that was total crap , and plus u had nothing to do when u reach the lvl cap.. so.. i got bored droped it.. then i tryed warhammer online and i saw a copy of wow... worse than wow... i got bored fast... and droped it... so i bought WOTLK.. and i kept playing wow.. but i can't play the same game... i want to play something different.. but i can't find anything better and clearly skillbased... so my questions are 1)easy to reach lvl cap? if I reach lvl cap do i have to lame xp like L2? 2)Any balance between clases? 3)pve and raids... skill based? 4)does it have something like BG's or arena system? so i can prove my skill as a player... 5)anything diffrent playstyle between classes? or all classes use stupid mana? 6) L2 was a korean farm fest... is this game any diffrent? (last thing.. graphics doesn't matter for me.. only skill and balances.. soi don't care how wow looks after u play aion blah blah..)

1: yes, not like L2 2: yes, very well so far. 3: no idea yet 4: no, its all real PvP, no BGs 5: they all have mana bars, but some have "extra" mechanics. 6: very different, so far. Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats. |

So...any way that u can prove your skills? like arenas? |

its pretty easy to level.. its does get grindie.. ALOT.. Its funny how we all see things different at times.. classes seem to much the same FOR ME. your bashing the same buttons.. at times I cant tell if my armor does anything.. others been asking the same. Blah blah.. yes.. farm fest Aion is in Korean and china. Will it be here? lol like they wont come here. The game is TO small. You will see them but.. if you want to play.. you just ignore them.

Best thing for you to do is go to Gamestop and put $5 down on preorder to get a beta code. This happens to be a beta weekend so you are in luck. Try the game your self and see what you think. I dont believe another person can tell me whether I would like a game or not. Its just something you have to try for your self. AMD FX-4100 Zambezi (OC at 4.3GHZ ATM) |

Yea, this game is definitly not for you. I get the feeling that you dont know what real PVP is and you also dont have what it takes for real PVP. Also anybody that cant spend $5 to try a game and would rather somebody tell them what is good for them is a very sad person. AMD FX-4100 Zambezi (OC at 4.3GHZ ATM) |

I'm still waiting to see a PvP video that doesn't have 2 people standing toe to toe or moving VERY little, spamming attacks back and forth until someone drops. Theres little way to prove any skill in a zerg, so those videos are worthless. I'm worried that if you can actually do well without having to worry about positioning, faking or out maneuvering your opponent, I don't put much faith in the SKILL part of the system. The moves are so flashy and over the top, its hard to even see how an interruption or counter system can work....if one exists. |

There is a thread on this forum by a user named kilkil2. Read through it, and read every post he has made and then decide for yourself. I will tell you there is a lot of skill in PvP in Aion, but I won't sit around and argue with trolls about it. Just read kilkil2's post, and watch his video. |

If there isn't a BG in the current beta version, we will definitely have at least one when released here. It doesn't look like you can queue up anytime you want, though. Most of the PvP focus will be in the world. http://www.aionsource.com/forum/general-discussion/20946-patch-notes-v1-5-update-shadow-balaur.html Battleground - Dreadgion The main objective is to infiltrate the Dreadgion from inside, destroy energy sources and eliminate the Dreadgion commander, but you must remain vigilant as you can also run into the enemy faction at any time. - This is a PvPvE type instance where Elyos and Asmodian players can both enter the same instance. |

Pillar dancing with a fotm team is serious business... All sarcasm aside, clearly anyone on this forum will tell you to try/buy it... it's an Aion forum. We won't know how good the end game pvp is till we... you know... play end game pvp. Also your comment for WAR sucking cause it is a WoW clone is kind of weak. Warhammer sucked but it was mostly cause of how the end game was terrible and or other reasons. But if you're looking for something that completely breaks the MMO mold you maybe disappointed. Are you going to solo quest your way to cap lvl? Most likely. End game is where it matters though and Aion has a lot of potiential to be a solid pvp game. Some people enjoy the honourable notion of challenging someone to a duel, and afterwards claiming either victory or defeat, rather than the role of a "PKer" or "Sheep/Victim" In FFA PVP games, there is the potential for griefing, and, say what you want, but I do not believe allowing griefing is a good way to do business, or to play a game. The ability to kill someone that is weaker than you is not what I would want in a game. Battlegrounds and, better still, Arenas, are good ways to measure how good someone is when they know they are about to enter a Player fight, rather than "grinding, grinding, my head feels like mashed potato grinding... oh, I'm dead... what?" occasions during the leveling process. ...to summarize, ganking lowbies, or players that are already fighting another creature, unsuspecting pvp combat, does not feel to me like "real" pvp, but "cheap" pvp, which provides only a one-way level of happiness and entertainment, leaving the other person in the negative. It's like picking on a person in a comedy show's joke, you know, calling one guy in the audience fat, getting cheap laughs from other people. Sure, those other people who DIDN'T get picked on feel GREAT! But the fat guy will probably leave, unhappy. I am playing EVE and it's alright... level V skills are a bit much. You all need to learn to spell. |

Didn't you guys know, REAL PvP is ganking lowbies or unaware players at 10% health. Fair fights in arenas are for newbs;) Boxing, MMA, every organized sport, Wrestling...all fake. REAL PvP is a thug and his 5 buddies ganging up on an old lady in an alley. A street fight where you're about to go 1 on 1 with a guy, then your friend smacks him in the head from behind with a skateboard....and you all gloat afterward about how badda$$ you are. THAT's REAL d00d. Sound familiar? It should, because thats all FFA PvPers are...little E-thugs=) Theres no such thing as REAL PvP. Theres just FFA ganking, chaotic zerg PvP or fair, balanced matches in arenas or battlegrounds. Its always nice to have a MMO with all of them. |

Obviously WoW is horrible with PvP. EQ you had to have skill to be a good pvper. Even if you had the best gear, if you didn't know your class and other peoples you would die. |
