Dragonica online is a new ftp game thats currently in beta which my daughter and i are actually enjoying together.

for the usa the publisher is thq ice, and for europe its gpotato while fore the rest  its Iah games.

3 pubishers for 3 different parts of the world for the same game.  You have open an account for each but its obious you want to play in the one for your region as lag does affect your preformance in this game,

Each publisher Has their logo display when you boot them up. Were talking about a damn grinder free to play game properly displaying its publishers per region.

Av has shown us NO PUBLISHER WHAT SO EVER FOR THE USA SO THEY ARE OBIOUSLY SELF PUBLISHING IT SCAMMING PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT THE GAME TO BUY IT AGAIN.

SOE publishing would be a mixed bag. I'll list a few things below, but one go so far as to call them pro or con as that will clearly be in the eye of the beholder:

• I've noticed a lot of SWG vets following DF. If SOE's name were somehow involved, that would be one customer base that may be less likely to buy.
• DF would become part of Station Pass which would give a customer a perception of better value for the money (access to other Station Pass games).
• SOE can keep a game running well past it's natural life time so you could be sure the game would not cease to exist any time soon.
• DF would likely gets it's own Trading Card game which would include the ability to obtain in game items.
• In addition to the trading card game, DF could become another micro-transaction test bed for SOE.

• SOE typically gives free trials for many of their games.

I'm sure there are a lot more bullet points that can be added, but that is what I can think of off the top of my head. Like I said though, mixed bag. Also, purely speculation based on my experience with SOE and having followed their various releases/acquisitions since I ended my SWG sub.

As far as point of reference, mine would be SWG. I would think you could also see Vangaurd and PoTBS as having some parallels if SOE were to take an interest in DF.

I'm going to guess that Aventurine is publishing in NA.

I only say this because with the European accounts, Audio Visual is named in the Privacy and Refund Policies.

Whereas Aventurine is named for the NA accounts.

Like I said, just guess (hunch).

Duh, as I said in the other thread about the same thing, the other publisher must have gotten cold feets, the game is probably not selling as well as they hoped.

I totaly agree, there is no other possible reason for being secret about it now. Not whatsoever (well, ok, if it is Blizzard they have a reason but that would be a snowy day in h#ll).

So you think there was different publisher other than Aventurine, and they pulled out at the last second.

Personally, I feel that there was never a different publisher other than Aventurine.

Either that or a publisher said they were very interested and Tasos thought that was a deal.

But yes, I do. Why lie about it? We will publish it ourself all over the world, or we have a secret publisher, it doesn't really sound better. They would just loose on lying about it, if they said they will publish it everywhere no one would think anything negative about it. They would have nothing to win and a lot to loose so I see it unlikely.

But Tasos will have told the publisher about the 200K people who signed up for the beta so they pulling out if 5-15K is playing the game is however very likely, particulary if they didn't sign any actual contract.

I see it as it is more logical that the publisher thought DF would have 300K players or so by now and when they got the real numbers they just canned the project, instead of Tasos would make some conspircy stuff up and continue to lie about it even though he knew people would find out sooner or later.

Tasos might be odd and really bad about communicating with the players but no one is that stupid.
