Originally posted by templarga Almost everyone will admit 1-10 or 1-20 in Aion sucks. Everywhere people say "wait till it gets good". These are commonly held descriptions of Aion - the "real game" begins around level 20-30. Well i guess me and my friends aren't "everyone" because we enjoyed the first 10 levels. The game is beautiful and polished. The lore quests are nicely done even if they are standard mmo fare for the most part. The first couple of levels start out a touch slow but once you get a few abilities combat starts to shine and by lvl13 i was absolutely loving my assassin. MMO's are about the journey imo and you seem to want instant gratification. Aion is off to a good start in my books. |

A child of science gone awry. If anyone gets in your way, they get smacked into next week. |

No game is going to do everything exactly the way every person wants. If it is game breaking to you just move on, just remember there are going to be hundreds of thousands or in Aions case millions who will like it. If anyone can name one game that everyone loves without a single dissenting voice.... I will call you on it (BS). As for 1 hit wonder over 3.5 mill subs + the NA/EU release will dispute that. Even if they only get 200k or 300k US subs the game will still be a major success on a global scale. You can verify this on http://www.mmodata.net/ check the top 10 subs or check one of the half dozen or so threads on this site arguing sub numbers either 1.5-2 mill or 3.5+ mill. If it doesn't appeal to you personally it means that the game ..... Doesn't appeal to YOU.. nothing more nothing less. I have played CoB-Aion and CB NA Aion it is a really good game to me i had a lot of fun going from 1-10 and 1-20. I have a few alts already my only worry was the if the PVP was going to be forced. As someone has stated you can get to max lvl with little or no pvp I am a bit relieved as i like to pvp when and only when i feel like it. For others that would be a game breaker they want world pvp from lvl 1 to me that would be a game breaker. Some seem to want lots of races others want lots of customizable character content. Still others want multiple starting zones , some hate the wings and flight some love it some think the flight is too short others think its just fine , some hate that you cant fly everywhere some think its appropriate. As I stated before NO game is going to do everything just right for everyone. accept or reject Aion for what it is and what it offers or doesn't then enjoy it or move on to something else. That said I may or may not buy Aion at release as I am a long time CoX fan and will be buying CO. Bottom line if its fun.... play it after all that is why we play MMO's to have fun (whatever your type of fun may be). |

I just want the first few levels to be the hook any game needs to really draw in the player. I just find it lacking in Aion even though the game is polished as you said. |

The polish is a big hook for me. Sure the first few levels might be a touch slow until you get some abilities but it took me all of an hour to get to lvl 8 so its not exactly a grind. Within 2 hours i had my wings and was hooked. All my friends felt the same and we've managed to get half our guild to pre-order now. Aion is what it is. If you aren't feeling the "love" after a couple of hours then chances are you won't like the game. There's nothing wrong with that. I felt the same way when i tried playing "that other game". Its not the game for me but i've got loads of friends who love it. |

instances are suck. outdoor bosses are win.
kthx bye |

i totally disagree with that, instance have to be in a mmorpg. I Do love outdoor bosses and i do love raid vs raid , but some night you feel like doing and instance , and have more than one simple boss to kill, just do a run for fun and rewards |
